Now that we've done all three Laff-A-Lympics team, it's time to move on to the announcers! We're including both the main commentators, the voiceover announcer (Don Messick), and the three guest commentators. It would be so silly if the final round ended with Fred Flintstone or Barney Rubble as the best Scooby-Doo recurring character, but hey, they technically count lol!

Checking in on last week's results, Mumbly advances to the final round in two weeks!

Who is your favorite member of the Really Rottens?
Mumbly - 21
Daisy Mayhem - 7
Dread Baron - 6
The Great Fondoo - 3
Magic Rabbit - 3
Orful Octopus - 2
Sooey Pig - 2
Dastardly Dalton - 1
Mr. Creepley - 1

0 votes: Mrs. Creepley, Junior Creepley, Dinky Dalton and Dirty Dalton

6. Jabberjaw - My apologies for contributing to his struggle of getting "no respect" lol, but he doesn't really stand out to me much.

5. Fred Flintstone - I really enjoy him as a guest commentator! It's cool that the original voice of Fred's final time playing the role was in one of these episodes.

4. Barney Rubble - *Barney Rubble laugh* (I couldn't really find a good clip lol) I would consider voting for Barney in the final round if he won, just for the novelty of saying "my favorite Scooby-Doo recurring character is Barney Rubble!" Just sounds odd lol.

3. Mildew Wolf - He works well as an announcer! I like him a little less than Snagglepuss because his consistent glass half-empty personality gets a bit old after a while.

2. Announcer Guy - very fun character!

1. Snagglepuss - I was going to vote the announcer guy, but Snagglepuss said he'd sue me if I didn't. (That's a joke from the Where Are You Now special in case anyone doesn't get it, lol) In seriousness I really like Snagglepuss as an announcer! His personality is quite charismatic, and is easily the standout of the main two imo.

I went Mildew. Although as you stated his personality might get a little annoying after a while it works very well with Snagglepuss' more upbeat demeanour.

Agreed! Btw, not sure if you saw, but Morgan Baden revealed why Daphne & Velma book 3 is no longer available in the comments of one of her Instagram posts. Apparently the book had a different licensing agreement than the other books because it was an eBook only, and WB allowed it to expire (possibly because of merger-related stuff). https://www.instagram.com/p/DXItSgSlk5e

6. Barney Rubble- Admittedly, I mainly remember Fred showing up a few times in the series, but not Barney with him, so he will be last for being less memorable in this series imo

5. Jabberjaw- See below

4. Fred Flintstone- Both Jabberjaw and Fred’s contributions as guest commentators are both fine and I am glad that they had some cameos for HB characters, but are also both insignificant, especially compared to the top three. I am putting Fred ahead of Jabberjaw simply because I prefer the Flintstones as a franchise

3. Voiceover guy- Really good for a voiceover. He has more personality than you’d think in that role. It is hard to compete with the top two here

2. Mildew Wolf- Probably the most obscure HB character to show up in this series, but he was a really good selection because he fits the series very well. I also always thought that Hardy Har Har would have been a great fit in an announcer role, but maybe that is just my bias because I always really liked that character

1. Snagglepuss- It is really down to Mumbly and Snagglepuss for the best character in the Laff a Lympics for me, and honestly, I think I may choose Snagglepuss. Putting aside his questionable ties to Yogi that may cause some bias, his personality was perfect for this role, as I think they needed at least one of them to be quite dramatic for the announcing to remain entertaining, and that is Snagglepuss’s defining trait. He is also just really funny

6. For a moment I thought I'd misremembered him showing up twice lol. I double-checked on Scoobypedia and Barney appeared in two episodes ("India and Israel" and "The North Pole and Tahiti").

3. Completed about him having more personality than you think. He feels like an actual character in the show.

2. Yeah, he does fit the series surprisingly well! I've never watched Cattanooga Cats before, but I find him quite charismatic despite not being familiar with him elsewhere.

1. Ha! I've never thought of that before, but he and Yogi do have sort of a questionable connection with them both being a part of The Yogi Bear Show. I heard a rumor that Yogi paid off Hardy Har Har to let Snagglepuss be the judge lol.

6. I trusted you that he was lol, I just don't have the memory of it, thus he has to be last place for me here as I have no negative feelings towards any

2. This may be surprising as I am generally pretty knowledgeable about Hanna Barbera (growing up with the original Boomerang certainly will do that) but I also have never seen Cattanooga Cats

1. I am willing to forgive having a segment in The Yogi Bear Show, but it gets a bit more hard to deny when you take into consideration the other shows they have together. Admittedly, Yogi's Treasure Hunt takes place after the Laff a Lympics, so I can't count that one. But not only was he in Yogi's Gang, he was also one of the core members (Along with Yogi, Boo Boo, Huck, and Quick Draw) that were main characters in every episode. Clearly, he has a vested interest in the Yogi Yahooeys winning the Laff a Lympics! Lmao

At least poor Hardy profited off of such an act. Clearly Hardy's time In Yogi's Gang did not leave Yogi feeling good about the results, it must have ended bitterly

1. Very good point, I'd forgotten he was in every episode of Yogi's Gang! Seems like a cover up for sure now, lol!
