Thanks Shadowscooby for suggesting this week's poll idea!
"Happy Birthday, Scooby-Doo!" won our birthday episode poll last week with 39 votes! Pirates Ahoy was decently close behind in second with 24 votes. For third place, we had a tie between "Scary Christmas" and "Cher, Scooby and the Sargasso Sea," each of them getting six votes. "Scrappy's Birthday" came in last place with three votes.

I’ve never seen Scoobynatural, but there is NO way it would win for me anyway

3. Where There's a Will, There's a Wraith - very nice re-imagining of a classic Where Are You plot. Arguably, this re-imagining was the best out of any in Be Cool.

A Night of Fright is No Delight that’s a classic one.

Awesome list! Yeah, I'd argue that Scoobynatural is way darker than Zombie Island.

I really did enjoy all of these. But, the classic scooby doo formula wins so at last I'd put "Scoobynatural"

I debated about the order of Scoobynatural and "Where There's a Will, There's a Wraith," since they're both amazing episodes. I thought Scoobynatural was executed amazingly though so it's a bit above "Where There's a Will, There's a Wraith" for me.

Maybe this one should have been expanded to which of these episodes with a similar villain, could have then thrown in the technomancer or whatever he was called, doubt it would win but might have made results more interesting. A Night of Fright is the clear winner anywy.

That's a great idea. I was also thinking about doing an upcoming poll about what episode did the classic "haunted house" plot the best, although there'd be a ton (probably 30+ on a guess) of options since it's obviously such a common trope in Scooby.

And it is a good thing I’ll have more free time after this week to type out a lengthy ranking for that poll LOL. There are so many excellent ones 12/11/2022 09:35:00 pm
Agreed! It won't be hard to choose a favorite since my all-time favorite episode is in there, but there are a lot of great episodes that fit that category.

How about dividing that poll up into, sort of, decades, 60s/70s, 80s/90s and 2000s, with the winners facing off against one another? 12/12/2022 12:14:28 pm
It's funny you say that because I was actually just thinking about it doing it that way so people aren't having to scroll through a mile-long list of options haha.

I’d probably combine 60s and 70s (that just makes that one even more stacked, but it makes the most sense) and maybe combine some combination of 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s?

Although I do have a question, if Scoobynatural counts, would that mean Bravo Dooby Doo would also count? If so, I would combine that with the 80s 12/12/2022 05:10:47 pm
I like the idea of combining the decades! That would be nine options for the 1960s/1970s, nine for the 1980s/1990s and nine for the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s, which would be perfect. I think that's what I'll do, and then we can do a Winner's Circle poll at the end like we did with the sports, villains by season, and premiere/finale polls.

That's exactly what I said 60s/70s, 80s/90s, 2000s.

I think you also forgot Me and My Shadow Demon. 12/14/2022 08:35:16 am
I misread your original comment as suggesting individual polls for each decade, but I see now that you suggested the same idea haha. Great point about "Me and My Shadow Demon." I was thinking of it as a castle, but since it's Befuddle Manor I guess that would classify it as a house. Thanks!

No worries, yeah, probably could have written it clearer. Glad you liked my suggestion.

It's close between Night of Fright and Scoobynatural, but I'll go with the former, great classic

I really like this episode too! It was such a cool plot to have Scooby in a rich old man's will. The phantom shadows were some of the creepiest villains of Where Are You despite their simplistic designs. There was lots of creepy stuff in this episode like the scenes you mentioned, particularly the shadow coming out of the clock and the organ playing/walls moving, and that all really added to the dark atmosphere of this episode. The culprits were pretty obvious, but it was still an amazing episode regardless. I liked the twist of the bone appearing at the end. The goose in the soldier uniform was great haha.

This episode did a great job remaking the classic Where Are You episode. I liked how the ghosts had skeletal arms. The reimagining of Scooby saving the colonel with jerky was funny. It was funny he ended up saving Shaggy the same way. The culprits were obvious for obvious reasons lol. I liked Daphne's slumber party hijinks were great. It was awesome how Velma finally complained about all the gang jumping on her back after all those years haha.

This was an incredible crossover! It was awesome that Dean was such a big Scooby fan and it was cool to learn the other day that they reference that in other episodes of Supernatural as well. I agree that Sam, Dean and Castiel were amazing guest stars and felt like part of the gang. It was interesting t hat Scrappy showed up during that door scene. It's the first time that Scrappy wasn't bashed in a cameo since 1999.
