That's what I ultimately went with too. Every villain in this season was in the "great" tier for me.

Now THIS is hard decision. Because even though I feel season 3 is MUCH weaker than the other two in terms of episodes, there are some CLASSIC villains in that season. There is a reason why multiple Cyber Chase villains were from that season (Except Jaguaro, that is a head-scratcher. As for my rankings…

I agree with you that Season 3 had some amazing villains! Season 1 was decent in the villain department, but ultimately season 2 was my favorite as well. Everything's in the great category for me in season 2 but I'll lay out my rankings for the other two seasons:

Nice rankings! There was definitely a lot of similarity between our picks. I know what you mean about the Jaguaro. I chose "great" because I like his design and the concept that he's a combination of all these different animals, but his roar is very weird to say the least lol. I have a bit of a soft spot for the Owl Men...even though they did look goofy, they have a Satanic Cultist look to them which makes them creepy to me. Anthos definitely looks dumb, but it falls into the "so bad it's hilarious" category to me thus earning him his good ranking haha. I was actually scared of the soulless Captain Clemens when I was little! The idea of someone's soul being stolen from them creeped me out, and even thinking about it as an adult, it is a pretty freaky concept for a cartoon that has children watching.

The vikings to me just looked like old blokes dressed up for a costume party.As you stated, the ice cream phantoms were just green ghost knock offs dipped in paint. They couldn't even distinguish between each other and Shaggy dressed in a brown coat for goodness sake. You say its a unique idea for a villain but the whole episode bears striking similarities to the The Haunted Candy Factory. I felt sorry for the so called Zombie, poor bloke probably wasn't even trying to disguise himself and gets labelled like that, lol. 3/8/2022 08:07:36 am
Fair enough the vikings lol. I thought the fact they couldn't recognize Shaggy in a brown coat was pretty funny. The thought of the gang just pulling random people off the street thinking they're monsters is hilarious hahahaha.

It's been a whole day and I still can't even figure out who would be in last place, let alone first place... They all deserve #1 as far as I'm concerned. I agree this was the most difficult of the polls to choose, as this series had such amazing villains! Looking at the results so far, it seems season 2 is winning.

Great rankings! I forgot to include the Ghosts of the Round Table in my rankings, but I would put them under the "great" category. I just wish we would have gotten to see them more! I guess I didn't include the talking bull either, but your ranking of "just a man in a bull costume" is accurate haha.

I agree with you on the Skeleton Men looking clearly fake, but I liked how unique their costumes were and the fact they only had one eye. Juan Carlos had a good presence as a villain, but the fact he just looked like a normal guy brought it down a lot for me.

I am going to pick season 2. Three had some really good villains too. Season 1 is very weak in a lot of areas to me, including the villain department. In fact, I have only one thing to say about it: 10,000 VOLT GHOST!!!!! 3/9/2022 09:21:04 am
The 10,000 Volt Ghost is one of my favorite villains from the show in general for how unique it is.

I honestly have a hard time choosing between Where Are You, The New Scooby-Doo Movies and The Scooby-Doo Show. They were the first three Scooby shows I was introduced to as a kid and I still have immense nostalgia around them even as an adult. Season 2 has always been my favorite for how dark of a tone it has. Its tone makes it stand out as very unique among the other Scooby content to this day. I wish they'd release more of it here too - we're still missing four episodes on DVD. I can't think of any reason why WB wouldn't want to release them, as they're not disliked like the rest of the remaining unreleased content (the Scrappy shorts, Get a Clue, etc.) A few qualities definitely went downhill in season 3 like the animation and backgrounds, as well as the writing to a small extent, at least IMO, but I did like the globetrotting aspect. The cat creature episode is one of my faves too.
