ScoobySnax Site Poll: What would you like to see in 2017?

Hi everyone!
First of all let me apologize for the lack of posts and updates lately. As with many people I am currently incredibly busy and overwhelmed with the holidays approaching, as well as recently returning from a week-long Thanksgiving family reunion and having several birthday celebrations with friends and family last week. Admittedly I've even written several of the fun facts in advance (due to not having time to write them on Sunday nights/Monday mornings as I usually do) and using the site's autotimer feature to post the fun facts automatically. One of my new year's resolutions for 2017 is definitely to keep up a better presence on both the site and in the online Scooby fandom in general.

So my question to you guys is what would you like to see on the site next year? I have several ideas myself, but if you have an idea, please let me know in the comment section and I'd love to hear it!

Here are my ideas:

More articles - I know I write a lot of news articles, but I was thinking about writing more non-news articles, including reviews and other fun articles discussing about aspects of the series and asking more critical/opinion-based questions that are a bit more interactive and discussion-provoking.

Another weekly blog series - In addition to the fun facts, I was considering creating another weekly blog series of sorts which would include a weekly post. I'm not sure what it would be yet (as you can probably tell by my vague wording lol), but I'd love to hear your ideas if this is something you'd like to see in the comments.

Home media release page - This would be a huge amount of work, but it's something I think would be really cool. I was considering creating a page with information on each and every DVD, Blu-Ray and VHS release. It would probably take a while, but it would be an extension of sorts of the How to Have a Complete Scooby Collection Guide which I know has helped tons of people.

Fan art page - My fourth and final idea is to have people to submit fan art for a new Fan Art page on the site. However, for this one, I'd like to have at least a few people interested in submitting some fan art before I create the page. If you are interested in this idea in addition to voting for it, could you send me an email via the contact form?

I feel like I can relate to this post: So many ideas and so little time.

I voted for another weekly blog series because it sounded like the most consistent one, but all are great ideas! Maybe you could combine the first and second one and have a weekly review or discussion? Either way, more content on the blog is what I'd like to see.

I've had similar ideas.. but there are other things on the top of my site's importance list right now such as finishing the movies/series, etc. pages as well as figuring out how to fix design/technical issues, namely fonts. (I think I got sidetracked.)

One thing I've always found helpful from your site is the comic solicitations. I never know when they come out but you always post them so it's convenient for me.

That's a great idea! Right now More Articles is winning by a huge amount, but you're right that I could definitely combine some of the options or still implement them despite them not winning (I would just likely prioritize the option that won if I didn't combine them). The only issue with doing the weekly blog series alone is that I still have to decide on an idea, but I have a few in mind and they're ones that will hopefully get the blog a bit more lively and get more discussions.

I know what you mean. I've been feeling really bad about not getting the character page done, especially as I originally told people I would get it done by April 2015 (which obviously never happened lol). So that's definitely my top priority now, and it's looking like I won't even get that done by the end of the year as I had promised back in September.

Looking forward to your new site still! Interesting you are having troubles with fonts, I was having trouble with them a few months back (part of the reason why the site was down for so long) and I think SS told me that's why his site was down too. I guess it must be a common issue. My main design/technical issue is images, some of them in the episode/movie guides (the movie guide is the worst) are showing up as incredibly weird sizes and it's something I will probably need to fix before I do the character page. ( I got really sidetracked there too lol).

I'm so glad you find those helpful! There should be another post for March 2017 this week on the blog (I believe it's the third week of the month that DC announces their solicitations, but I could be wrong).
