Looks like a great set. Sadly, not a great set of previously unreleased episodes. I can't really imagine who this is aimed at.

True Scooby fans long ago have added Scooby-Doo, Where are You? dvds to their collections in one form or another. Given that the show was hand animated with tiny televisions in mind in the late 60s and early 70s, how much better could a Blu-ray release look?

New Scooby fans (meaning kids and teens) don't even know what a blu-ray player is. If they can't stream it, it didn't happen.

Casual fans aren't likely to shell out big bucks for a hard to store cardboard display case.

I'm sure someone will buy it but as I say, I can't imagine who that's going to be.

Wake me when they announce season 2 of Be Cool...

Only thing I can think of is that it's aimed at people who want the series on Blu-Ray. Not sure about the DVD version though, other than just WB trying to act like they care with a "special" release.

Yea there seems to be renewed push for these things on blu-ray, I can't deny the work on the new scooby doo movies was great... but I just don't need it on blu ray I'm sorry... the special features seem nice though, also really hate funko pops >.>, so real mixed bag for me...

I have no need for it on Blu-Ray either. I don't even have a blu-ray player lol.

Just to clarify my comment to anyone who may be confused reading it, I believe I was incorrect about the DVD version. I don't think there is a DVD version, just a Blu-Ray.

It still annoys me on an OCD level that one season of The SD Show is always grouped in with the "complete series" of SDWAY.

I'd really love to take a look at all those special features, though that price tag turns it into a bit of a debate if i'll ever be bold enough to do so.

I don't like that either tbh. I don't think I'm bold enough to spend $90 on just special features, but good for you if you are able to do it someday haha.

I hope so too! The press release didn't really make that clear though unfortunately.

I wonder if they will release it on Blu-Ray when they release Return to Zombie Island?

I will absolutely be buying this and upgrading from the mystery machine van dvd set. Selling that to make way for the blu ray. It looks awesome! Very well presented. It didn’t say in the press release but they are limited to 50,000 units. Maybe we did a restoration job like they did with batman animated series. I think with the set already existing multiple times on dvd that this will just be a one chance opportunity to get the series on blu ray. Sounds like a great batch of special features, and I read (possibly on here once) that the original encyclopaedia is really in depth. This will just be a sample of it. Pop is just a bit of added fluff but actually looks good sitting in the mansion window. Will be a great forward facing display piece.

It does look really cool and I would consider buying it if I had a Blu-Ray player. I also saw that it was limited to 50,000 which is kinda interesting!

I am very excited for this release!! I love the haunted house look! The Funko and the book don’t particularly entice me as I own the book already and the Funko just looks odd in that window in the set. But Scooby is my favorite and I’ll be more than happy to splurge on this! I am especially excited for the new special features, it sounds like a lot of thought and care went into them!!!

I hate that season 3 of The Scooby-Doo Show is included, because now we’ll have that 2-season gap of The Scooby-Doo Show seasons 1 and 2 without an HD release between episodes that are.

I assume there will be a standard set, too, and I do wonder what the box art for that will be as well, but regardless I just have to have this limited edition set!

I really need to get that encyclopedia, even if I don't buy this set. It looks so cool and detailed!

I'm not sure if there will be a standard set. Usually they're announced at the same time, and they've already released a ton of DVD versions of the Where Are You Complete Series, so I'm honestly wondering if they might not.

I already preordered this! Love the look of it and excited to have the original series on blu-ray, just hope they upgrade the sound unlike the recent New Scooby-Doo Movies on blu-ray, though the picture is great on that! Little of a splurge but its around my birthday so happy early birthday to me lol.

I think that this set for DVD will only be re-issued with the new green paw print boarder that they have chosen for the 50th anniversary. Other than that I cant see them releasing a brand new set on DVD. Also on a side note here in the UK some of the older movies have been re-issued on DVD with brand new slipcovers at £3 each in Tesco. Zombie Island, Reluctant Werewolf, Boo Brothers and Camp Scare were the ones in stock.

I could also see them rereleasing it with the paw print border. That's really interesting about the reissues.
