I'd bet good money that it doesn't release in Canadian Wal-Marts that day. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm not.

I'm not sure why this comment got marked as spam, but it did. I fixed it now, sorry about that!

Nevermind... they have two listings and for some reason, searches weren't bringing up the second one for a bit...

More weird that both didn't come up, the exclusive thing makes sense from a few angles, mostly tracking sales, also technically mean Walmart isn't breaking street date which I've heard they used to do a lot... computers make things interesting... 9/3/2019 07:44:07 pm
Indeed, they did it all the time back in the early 2010s. I'm glad it was released on DVD today for those who want the physical copy and don't want to wait a month to see it.

They even shrink wrapped the o-ring, which has a shrink wrapped dvd case inside, so that they could put a UPC sticker over the printed one on the artwork.

I didn't hate it, but it won't be one of my favorites like the original, biggest knocks were...honestly the music being nowhere near as awesome, and the swearing off mystery solving got old...

Yeah, they definitely went on too long with the swearing off mysteries joke... 9/5/2019 06:23:19 pm
If you didn’t think of it as a sequel to Zombie Island, I thought it was a good film. It didn’t near live up to the original, and there were several glaring inconsistencies. The school project bit was really irritating. But it was a good film on its own. I like how they referenced Reluctant Werewolf. Good to know about part 2 being on there since I have the digital copy, thanks Colin!

Agreed, I enjoyed it overall, though the school project didn't bug me, scooby cannon is full of more holes than swiss cheese.

It bothered me that they went out of their way to say the school project thing, when they could have just not mentioned Daphne's show, as it wasn't necessary for the recap.

Oh, what were the other inconsistencies? I must have missed them.

It's not explained how Simone and Lena's house turned into a hotel, then they make the guestbook comment about how pages were ripped out because they didn't want the gang to see the original time they had signed it (they didn't sign a guest book because it wasn't a hotel yet). They also said Zombie Island was just a "summer vacation" which it wasn't, it was directly correlated to Daphne's show.

I feel that's a lose lose situation, they either not mention it and face complaints, or do it and get complaints, geeks are pedantic.

Weird that they just added in the guestbook. It's not like the film needed it. Leave a Reply. |
