Here's the back cover for Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island courtesy of WBShop. The back cover reveals that the film will be 80 minutes, as well as that there will be two bonus episodes. "Mummy Scares Best" from What's New, Scooby-Doo? will serve as one, while very oddly, only part 1 of "Ghosts of the Ancient Astronauts" will be the other. I guess fans will just be left wondering what happens in part 2?

Here's another description of the film from the back cover:
Join Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the Mystery Inc. gang as they win the vacation of a lifetime and put their mystery-solving days behind them. As soon as they arrive on the tropical island and check into Moonscar Island Resort, Velma, Daphne and Fred can't help but notice how strangely familiar this island is to a terrifying place they once visited long ago. They soon find out that paradise comes with a price when they encounter an army of zombies and creepy cat people. Hop on board and travel with Scooby-Doo and the gang as the unearth the mystery of Zombie Island in an all-new original move adventure - 20 years in the making!

Yeah, it's weird, I'm pretty sure his name is MORGAN MOONSCAR and not MOONSTAR!

I completely read over that huge typo! I can't believe they'd make such a big error on their official product packaging.

I wish they would start doing real special features with the Scooby movies again, just a quick interview or deleted storyboards or just something!

I’ve read as much about the film on Twitter as I could and I think it’s quite apparent that this mystery is a cash grab and not at all an adventure that has been 20 years in the making. It sounds like a completely unfaithful, out of tone, and misleading sequel.

That being said I have heard that the film is legitimately funny. Curse of the 13th Ghost’s humor lost a lot of steam by the end, but I’m holding out hope that this film will still be a fun installment in its own right! Fingers crossed for a decent Scooby flick, since it looks like we aren’t getting a true Zombie Island flick!

I wish they'd do better special features too, or at the very least do some bonus episodes that are unreleased!

I'm presuming you heard the stuff on Twitter from people who have seen the film? If so, that's disappointing to hear.

That's a super weird and random selection of bonus episodes. And where's Part 2 of "Ancient Astronauts"?

In another dvd to buy...

Well that's dumb, considering both parts have been released in '13 Spooky Tales Around the World'. They probably chose it because it has zombies, okay, fine. But why not include the second part as well? If they wanted to have an 11-minute segment, they could have chosen "Scooby-Doo and Cyclops, Too" which also has zombies.
And oh my God, I just noticed they call it "Moonstar Island"!! You had one joooob! 😩

Maybe the DVD don't have enough storage for the second part , lmao

I hope part 2 being missing is just a typo, but I fear not. It would be really weird to leave people hanging that have never seen part 2 before lol.

It does seem really weird that they'd leave out Part 2. Also, their episode selection is weird in general like Scoob16 said. "Scooby-Doo and Cyclops Too" would have been a far better choice, or at least something else with zombies even if it was already released. Though to be fair, there were zombies in "Ghosts of the Ancient Astronauts," they just weren't the main villains. You could also stretch it and say the mummy's minions in "Mummy Scares Best" were zombies.

I think that the owner of the island changed the name because of their resort business cause would you want to visit an island resort with the name moonscar

Actually, that could be a possibility. Like they changed the name to trick people and/or the gang into coming to the island? But then again it's not a huge change, so it's also possible it's just a typo.

For a film that is supposed to be a sequel to one of the very best Scooby projects ever, I was expecting a small featurette or some recording booth sessions. I think we can all agree that very little passion has gone into making this film and it purely is a 50th anniversary cash grab.

I think the wording of the film makes it sound like a different island. Possible replica of the original island. Think of it like the two islands in Jurassic Park. And I just think the name was slightly changed to attract tourists. Assuming events of the original made it widespread news in the Scooby world.

I always look forward to the bonus episodes in hope of something new but good grief what a let down once again! If they purely was only allowed two episodes then just go for both parts. I used to think a number of years ago whoever selected the episodes was quite smart at choosing what got included, but these days it’s like they don’t give a sh*t

We should have gotten at least something slightly special for the 50th anniversary on this DVD as bonus features. Two episodes, one not even being both parts is pretty lame. That most recent trailer gave me hope, but the back cover seems like they put zero effort into it. Not that you guys have said it, I'm hoping the "Moonstar" thing was actually the island's name changing as part of the plot, and not just a lazy typo on WB's part.

I assume the misspelling of Moonscar was a simple typo but yeah I wish they’d put effort into these special features again, you’d think they would do something a little different for the 50th anniversary, guess WB is just satisfied by dumping old episodes on it and calling it a day. Remember back in the day, you would sometimes get behind the scenes, Scooby bloopers, sometimes a commentary and even games for kids

It makes me sad that they're just dumping old episodes on these DVDs. If WB would put even slight thought into this, they could have released a never-before released episode such as "Scooby-Doo and Cyclops Too," which would fit perfectly with the zombie theme. Or even "The Incredible Cat Lady Caper" to go with the theme of cat creatures!

We have to hope that those two episodes you mentioned are being saved for the top secret special edition of Zombie Island..
I buy the DCAU movies and wb are happy enough to include old batman and justice league episodes and a couple of behind the scenes plus the odd commentary. A few have even had commemorative editions. But nothing like this ever happens for the Scooby discs. We just keep getting the same old episodes we already own on dvd.

It would be cool if they had a "top secret special edition" haha.

I hope the island's name change is just a typo.

But you have to be quite useless not to review what you have written and leave it as a final product.

But maybe it's part of the plot and the gang will think "Hey, I'm not going to set foot on Moonscar Island again. But Moonstar Island sounds fantastic and not suspicious at all, let's go on vacation there!"

I also hope it's some creative plot device rather than just a typo. It would be ridiculous if it's just some typo they didn't notice.
