There's no bigger mystery in the Scooby franchise than the mystery of the correct continuity of the show. Fans, especially ones new to the franchise, have immense trouble trying to figure out the true chronological and continuity-following order to watch the episodes in.
This is where the timeline comes in. @MrKindNerd (formerly @DallasLKinard), an avid Scooby fan, has spent over a year carefully plotting out each point in the series' and finding a chronological order for the entire franchise, so that fans, both new and old, can actually watch the series as you would normally watch it: in chronological order, ranging from when the gang is little in "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" to when they became adults in some of the later series.
Recently, @MrKindNerd emailed me the timeline he had spent an immense amount of time and effort on, making sure it was perfect and chronologically correct, and quite honestly I was very impressed! The timeline is perfect for the many fans who seek to actually watch the series in the continuity order, and offers many theories to finally solve many of the problems and discontinuities the Scooby franchise unfortunately suffers from.
I've done a tiny bit of work as well on the timeline, but most of the credit goes to @MrKindNerd for creating this fantastic timeline!
Reader's note: This timeline is always subject to change, due to new material coming out and as new information may present itself. It's our goal to be as objective and logically accurate as possible with this viewing order.

As you can see, this timeline took a lot of effort and critical thinking on both our parts! But of course, we are only human, so if you feel like something should be in a different order, or just have a general suggestion for the timeline, please post it in the comments so the timeline can be made as accurate as possible!
4/28/2017 05:22:56 pm
Don't see how SDMi can be first.
4/30/2017 12:00:11 pm
I'm not sure if I 100% agree with the placement either, but we ended up compromising that SDMI ended in an alternate timeline that sort of led into Where Are You (plus in both series they were in high school) and placed SDMI first.
5/4/2017 06:16:49 pm
Well its a tad odd since SDMI has technology in it which didn't exist before the vast majority of Scooby episodes...still nice work on the timeline regardless. Roughly the same as how I had it in my mind.
4/23/2022 11:33:56 am
I just noticed that I never responded to this critique. Suppose 5 years late is better than never lol. That's a fair point about the technology - I suppose, for the sake of canon, you could argue that the technology regressed when the timeline changed at the end of the series. I don't think there's any way we're going to get it perfect, since there are so many moving pieces and different aspects that could take something out of continuity, but ultimately I think SDMI best fits at the beginning, since the timeline resets into Where Are You.
11/28/2019 10:28:07 pm
I would say the curse of the 13th ghost would come after zombie island. Everyone is back together in zombie island but not in ghoul school, boo brothers, and reluctant werewolf. Also curse of 13th ghost and return to zombie island seem to take place right after each other.
11/29/2019 09:59:51 am
Agreed, Niel. I think that, the last time updates were made, it seemed most likely that the direct sequels would happen immediately after the productions that spawned them (or at least, with nothing in between).
12/2/2019 01:45:23 pm
Thanks for the comment Niel! Dallas and I talked about this over the weekend, and it sounds like we were thinking it would make most since to have them placed after Cyber Chase.
12/2/2019 01:51:08 pm
@Tom Holste We were thinking it made more since in this case, due to the obvious drastic change in tone, that it would make more since to put both films after Cyber Chase. I've changed this on the timeline now. It's also probably worth noting that Dallas has not seen either film yet, so these are purely my opinions that Dallas has agreed with until he gets the chance to watch them.
12/3/2019 08:57:27 am
Thanks, WW! I agree; putting those films after the 4 movies from the original "Zombie Island" to "Cyber Chase" makes a lot of sense. Those four films clearly feel connected for obvious reasons.
12/3/2019 11:38:17 am
No worries! I'm not sure if we will get an explanation for the Mystery Machine being back at some point in the DTVs, or if that hanging plot thread will just be dropped and we'll have the Mystery Machine back without any explanation.
12/24/2019 09:37:26 am
Oops--took a while to reply this time!
12/24/2019 09:56:12 am
I hope it doesn't continue through more "sequels" to previous Scooby works. "Scooby-Doo in King Arthur's Court" is the next DTV, which isn't a sequel to anything, so I'm hoping they'll tie up the plot thread by then without having to make any more sequels.
12/27/2019 11:44:43 pm
Agreed. Some of the placements aren’t correct. In Mystery Incorporated mentions that the series excluding Fred and Velma were in a previous year in high school.
12/28/2019 11:28:54 am
I would need to look again, but I believe Dallas's explanation for placing it there was because the entire timeline rebooted at the end of the series, and thus Fred and Velma being gone were just more manipulations of the universe by the Evil Entity. In the series where Fred and Velma are gone, the explanation in "Happy Birthday, Scooby-Doo" from The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries is that Fred is a mystery writer and Velma works for NASA. This would contradict what SDMI says, so it makes more sense to just say it was part of the Entity's manipulations in the alternate universe.
12/28/2019 12:01:16 pm
Poor Whirlwind and Dallas. I think you've made a very good case for SDMI's placement, but it seems like you'll have to keep defending that choice for the rest of your lives! :)
12/28/2019 03:01:08 pm
Whirlwind? But haha, yeah, it seems like it! Thank you for saying we've made a good case :)
12/29/2019 08:57:57 am
Oops! Sorry -- WILDwind. :D
12/29/2019 10:16:20 am
No worries, haha.

5/12/2020 07:16:23 pm
Where would the movies fall in?
5/12/2020 07:45:02 pm
Hi Stephanie, which movies are you referring to? The live action ones?
5/5/2017 09:44:25 am
Admittedly I agree, but sometimes when you're working on a project with someone else, you have to make compromises. :)
5/6/2017 11:52:58 pm
Im new to Scooby Doo. Ive seen all of Wher e Are You, and season 3 of the scooby doo show. I was wondering if a chronological order existed, so I was really happy when I saw this. I haven't seen anything with the Hex Girls but I know they appear in SDMI after appearing on 2 movies and Whats New. When watching in this order does SDMI work as taking the spot of their first appearance?
5/7/2017 01:26:19 pm
Actually since it's treated in the first SDMI ep where they appear as if the gang doesn't know them, it would work. And welcome to the Scooby fandom! :)
4/19/2018 02:41:41 am
Am I the only one that noticed Scooby-Doo meets Batman isn't on here? Or does that movie just not count all of a sudden?
4/19/2018 09:44:42 am
This was a project that Dallas and I did last April, and I believe it's updated on Dallas's master doc but I just forgot to update it on here. It's updated now. Thanks!
9/12/2018 06:48:26 pm
scooby doo meets batman isnt a movie that just two episodes from the new scooby doo movies series
9/12/2018 08:22:12 pm
Thanks for pointing that out, Jonathan. I believe they meant the recent film "Scooby-Doo & Batman: The Brave and the Bold," which wasn't on the list at the time I replied to the comment.
6/23/2018 10:09:51 am
how about the supernatural episode "Scoobynatural"
6/23/2018 10:28:37 am
To be honest, I'm not sure Peeeeeeeeter. I'll ask Dallas when I get the chance :)
12/18/2018 09:44:15 am
"Scoobynatural" has now been added under "A Night of Fright is No Delight" from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?. Since Sam, Dean, and Castiel are zapped into that episode and their presence alters the timeline of the episode, it makes sense chronologically to have it right after the original episode, as sort of an "alternate version."
7/5/2019 04:43:44 am
Can you try and add the live action movies into this because Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins is the story of how all the gang met and then Scooby-Doo! The Lake Monster is about the lake Monster Scooby-Doo 1 takes place right after the Luna Ghost and then there is the Monsters Unleashed and then there is a new Daphne & Velma duo movie and I wanna binge this all the way through so if you can add live action I’d appreciate it
7/5/2019 05:21:44 pm
Responding to Michael below (for some reason, I don't see a "Reply" button next to his post):
this means that in the scooby do universe its just a show so the timeline dosnt even matter all you had to do was put them in relese order and use scooby-natural to back it up but still is nice that you worked so hard on this timeline and also be cool scooby doo takes place when they get out of high school and in scooby doo zombie island daphine is a reporter and has her own show
3/17/2020 04:33:02 pm
Sorry that you don't agree with the timeline order, Nate. Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! does not take place after high school. This was an early draft of the show that was scrapped (this was confirmed by the head writer), though some media outlets did not change this.
10/20/2020 08:25:19 am
Jaguaro, as the mods have said multiple times in this thread, the idea behind putting "Mystery Incorporated" before "Where are You" is that the timeline gets reset at the end of the show, meaning that the gang met Charlie the Robot a second time in the revised timeline.
10/20/2020 04:29:17 pm
Thanks so much, Tom. I absolutely agree with everything you said here. I think Dallas is the one more dedicated to having SDMI first, as I honestly feel like it could go either way. I'm more than happy to take any suggestions anyone may have, but I hope no one ever feels bad if we don't necessarily take every single suggestion we get. The Scooby timeline is a hard one to decipher and admittedly, as demonstrated with SDMI, even Dallas and I have minor disagreements about where things are! It's all just a fun discussion though, so there's no need for anyone to get worked up.
9/29/2018 01:17:31 pm
Hi! I just found your blog and I love it. I never did watched all of the Sooby Doo series but I want to. I am so confused though. Is SDMi before Scooby Doo Where are You? I thought the order of watching is the order of when they were released :D I guess not.
9/29/2018 06:53:26 pm
Welcome to the blog, Arben! I'm so glad you liked it! In hindsight, I probably should have fought harder for Where Are You to be before SDMI, as I think it's a bit confusing too (and others do as well as you can see by a couple of the above comments). That was a decision by the person I co-created this with, Dallas.
12/15/2018 08:08:25 pm
Hi there! I just came across this, and it's a lot of fun. You obviously put a lot of hard work into it, which is appreciated!
12/16/2018 11:40:04 am
Hi Tom, no worries and your suggestion was definitely constructive!
12/29/2018 09:20:51 pm
Hi, Wildwind! Thank you for your kind and thoughtful reply!
12/30/2018 08:20:32 pm
Hey Tom, of course!
12/15/2018 11:11:50 pm
P.S. Silly me -- I should have read the comments first. A lot of people already made similar comments, and you made some good and thoughtful responses. :)
1/8/2019 03:39:54 pm
Wow, good calls! I forgot or missed a lot of those references to their schooling.
6/5/2019 10:46:33 am
Hey all, Dallas here. I plan on doing an update/overhaul very soon on this and hopefully it will fix some of the issues being brought up. Thank you all for the comments!
6/5/2019 05:10:17 pm
Awesome! Thanks, Dallas! Looking forward to it. :)
6/6/2019 08:37:55 am
Glad to hear! I have to sit down and power through a bunch of episodes and take notes so it'll be a bit, but it'll get done eventually! Keep checking back!
6/8/2019 10:55:09 am
Out of curiosity, where would you place the LEGO films and live-action movies?
6/9/2019 09:43:29 am
Not sure who this was directed at but I'll let Dallas answer this one, as he was the one who originally suggested the live-action and LEGO films should be canonical.
6/10/2019 08:08:20 am
I count each of those to be separate/parallel timelines/universes to the main animated canon, so they are not going to be included on here.
the scooby life
6/22/2019 08:59:33 am
i've liked Scooby Doo my whole life, it was the only cartoon I would watch really also the only show. every once and a while I go through and rewatch all of them to experience awesome memories, except I stopped watching after what's new Scooby Doo. I just dont like them after what's new Scooby Doo, to be honest I dont like what's new Scooby Doo that much either. but Scooby is great
6/28/2019 09:20:37 am
Hello all! I'm finally getting back into updating this. It's SUPER out-dated and needs a ton of work, but I'm on it! If anyone knows where I can find out the production order for each series, that'd be very helpful! For anyone wanting to help or follow along with my progress on this project, here is the link to the master doc. Feel free to check in on it every so often for updates! When figuring out all of these things, I plan on doing an episode by episode analysis to look out for clues like weather, calendars, on-screen-dates, character ages, etc. Basically any notes I can take that will help to place each chapter of the franchise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
6/28/2019 05:32:37 pm
Hi, Dallas! Thanks for the intensive, detailed work on this! I really appreciated your footnotes explaining the thinking behind certain placements.
7/8/2019 09:38:18 pm
Hello! Thanks for the comment!

7/22/2019 12:59:48 pm
Absolutely! Stay tuned! =]
9/1/2019 06:24:40 pm
This is an interesting debate, even if just for the fun of it. To be honest, I haven't watched enough Scooby-Doo in my lifetime to have an informed opinion. But, I found this while preparing for a watchthrough on where to begin. I'm a chronological person, too. I've seen various incarnations/episodes over the years, but have never actually watched any of the except for Mystery Inc all the way through. I'll watch them in this order and see if there's any glaring inconsistencies. Thanks for all the hard work. I can't imagine how long it took to put this together.
9/1/2019 06:37:47 pm
Thank you! We really appreciate it :)
9/30/2019 03:13:20 pm
Sounds great! Thank you and please let us know how it goes! This is still a work in progress and is a living, breathing document. Any and all help is appreciated!
10/1/2019 02:50:17 am
I just noticed that season 3 of the classic ‘Scooby-Doo: Where are you?’ is not on here. Is there any reason why it isn’t?
10/1/2019 03:20:42 am
Sorry, I just realised it was actually part of the Scooby-Doo Show. My iTunes version says that it is part of Scooby-Doo: Where Are You?
10/1/2019 08:04:07 am
Hey Jeff! Thanks for the feed-back! Please let us know if there are any continuity issues/concerns and we'll be glad to evaluate. This is a living document and is subject to change as we learn more information!
10/20/2019 05:07:41 am
Thank you for all your efforts!! As a family who houses approximately 70 Scooby Doo DVDs, possibly more, this is like gold for us discovering what we are missing from the collection.
10/20/2019 09:45:17 am
So glad it's been helpful for you!!!
12/24/2019 09:27:39 am
Any idea where ‘Scooby Doo and Guess Who?’ would be placed?
12/24/2019 10:23:52 am
Thank you so much for pointing this out! I had thought we had added this to the timeline, but apparently I had forgotten to transfer Guess Who over from our master doc. We placed it right after The New Scooby-Doo Movies, except for the Batman episode, which says the gang did not know Daphne had an uncle. Because of this, we placed it right before the first time we met an uncle of Daphne's, which was Uncle Maxwell in "Never Ape an Ape Man." So it's between that and "What the Hex is Going On?"
3/13/2020 03:14:59 pm
where does SCOOB! take place. i know its not out yet but it looks like it might retcon a pup named scooby doo
3/17/2020 04:19:44 pm
We're not sure until it comes out!
3/14/2020 02:14:27 pm
hello i belive that scooby doo spooky island, and monsters Unleashed are canon in this universe becuase in SDMI fred said to Dalphine we promised not to speak about him and it was a statue of scrappy Doo and in spooky island scrappy was the villian and why else would he be in there i did not see a scooby statue
3/17/2020 04:20:45 pm
This was more Dallas's decision than mine, but I think we left it because there were too many things that were off-canon, even though there were a few on-canon things.
3/14/2020 04:44:53 pm
i think that the orginal show came before SDMI and then after we got all the other shows like whats new and also maybe if what i said earlier about scappy and spooky island being canaon maybe they gave scrappy another chance and wwe got the new scooby doo and scrappy show and others with him in it
3/17/2020 04:22:08 pm
That's certainly possible, though I think arguments could be made either way. We thought if SDMI reset the entire timeline, it made more sense just to put it at the beginning and have the last episode be the "start" of the official Scooby-Doo timeline.
3/14/2020 04:57:10 pm
i think be cool is not a reboot i have not seen it but i heard it has villian from the original show but that might just be becuase the timeline was reset
3/17/2020 04:23:07 pm
We said Be Cool was a reboot because it does have monsters from the original show, and also certain details are completely inconsistent with all other shows such as Daphne's birthday being on Christmas, how Scooby tried Scooby Snacks, etc.
3/30/2020 08:19:56 pm
ok, thank you.
4/1/2020 01:17:10 pm
hello I was looking at the timeline and i relized i did not see any of the scooby doo specials such as mecha mutt menace, the spooky scarecrow.etc. im not sure if i missed it or if its not there.
4/1/2020 04:32:39 pm
4/2/2020 12:57:42 pm
This list is perfect for the coronavirus quarantine! I’m about to finish SDMI and I really wanted to keep watching Scooby doo, so glad I ended up finding this list. Looks like I know exactly what I’m going to be doing until all this virus stuff goes away!
4/2/2020 01:07:27 pm
I'm so glad this list was helpful for you!
4/4/2020 04:20:42 pm
Aren't there three seasons in the Where Are You series?
4/4/2020 05:32:20 pm
Season 3 of The Scooby-Doo Show was later repackaged as "Where Are You" season 3 for syndication, but it is not the official title. Notice the Where Are You season 3 DVD even has The Scooby-Doo Show intro still on all the episodes.
10/9/2020 10:35:59 am
This is actually wrong. The Scooby-Doo Show didn't exist until syndication. From 1976-1978, the shows now known as The Scooby-Doo Show were never called The Scooby-Doo Show.
4/18/2020 12:31:29 pm
thank you for making this
4/18/2020 06:01:00 pm
You are very welcome! So glad it is helpful!
4/23/2020 12:36:58 am
When I was younger i loved scooby doo and its how i met one of my best friends and then i grew older and just forgot about it but recently I've come back to the fan base and then i found this and it will give me something to DOO during lock down
4/23/2020 10:48:34 am
That's so cool that you met one of your best friends through Scooby! And yeah, it indeed give you something to DOO haha.
4/23/2020 11:58:39 pm
I heard that the new SCOOB! movie will be the start of a cinematic Hanna barbera universe. how will this effect the timeline and will it be a different timeline or be the same timeline?
4/24/2020 12:56:34 pm
I think it will really depend on what happens in the film, so I can't definitively say yet! But presumably, this would bring some other franchises technically into the same timeline as Scooby, though I don't think we'll list them out episode by episode since many of the franchises are already intertwined with Scooby through Laff a Lympics or Scooby's guest appearances on their show (i.e. Dynomutt and Blue Falcon, Captain Caveman, etc.) Come to think of it, I think the only new franchise that will officially become a part of the timeline that wasn't already from SCOOB! is Muttley and Dick Dastardly. In Laff-a-Lympics, both of those characters were there, but technically under different names (Mumbly and The Dread Baron).

4/27/2020 07:03:47 pm
I personally found the ending of "Mystery Incorporated" to be very satisfying. The gang had set everything right in town, and now they were off to new adventures.

Hi Thomas! Nice to hear from you again and sorry for the very late reply! I somehow seem to have missed this comment and am just noticing it now as I was replying to someone else. I guess 3 weeks late is better than never haha!
5/19/2020 05:30:48 pm
Thanks, Wildwind! No worries about not seeing the message right away. I'm glad you enjoyed my comments! :)
4/27/2020 06:39:24 am
I've recently finished watching Mi and I was wondering which show (if any) takes place after or during their time with the new Mr. E (Harlan Ellison), or was that not included?
4/27/2020 09:54:09 am
There isn't any show that follows that storyline unfortunately. It's just kind of left on a cliffhanger and no future show chooses to explore that.
4/27/2020 10:22:20 am
5/18/2020 12:13:43 am
5/19/2020 11:32:21 am
This is a really interesting argument, Kirbo! Thanks for sharing it and I'll be sure to share this with Dallas as well! :)
5/18/2020 06:38:27 pm
Just watched Scoob and it is amazing . and it has some things in it that i feel prove this timeline or at least backs it up i dont know if youve seen it yet so i will not tell you what happened
5/19/2020 11:34:19 am
I watched SCOOB! the moment it came out (right at midnight on the release date) and I loved it! I agree that this backs up our timeline, and I put it at the bottom of our timeline in the reboot era. I see I forgot to put the year after it though, so I'll fix that tonight!
5/19/2020 12:48:44 pm
its cool that you saw it as soon as it relesed i wanted to but I lost track of the day and i thought that i didnt come out for a few more days LOL.
5/19/2020 06:00:38 pm
Haha, yeah it's been easy to lose track of the days lately. Omg, I was thinking the remake of the intro sort of proved the timeline too! :)
5/19/2020 12:56:58 pm
The only thing i feel disproves my theroy is the facts that Fred gets a new and advanced Mystery Machine. but i might have an answer but i will need to do some reserch
5/19/2020 06:01:06 pm
Hadn't thought about that, but that's a good point! Let me know if you find anything in your research on that!
5/19/2020 11:09:01 pm
My research is done and i found nothing. the only show i included in my reserch was Mi becuase at the end the timeline was remade and i dont fthink they would still have the new mystery machine seen at the end of scoob maybe they made it in the same shape as teh orginal becuase a big thing in scoob wasthw robots can hange their shape and look and at least a mounth if not longer had pasted between when they beat dick and the grand opening so they prob had acces tom the teck after the dick incident and had been able to modify it into the new mytery machine or maybe at some poiunt inbetween scoob and MI the new one got broken or destoyed and they got a new one more like the original
5/20/2020 10:54:42 am
That's an interesting theory and I bet you're right!
5/19/2020 11:15:50 pm
i also have another theroy about the bulding they opened up in the end of SCOOB. I think the reason we did not see it in MI is becuase they went bankrupt and ha dto shut down the building.(prob went bankrupt from Fred buying stuff for traps LOL) so then maybe they had to find a new place to work and Angel being part of the original Mystery Incorperated wanted to keep an eye on them so let them work in her studio
5/20/2020 10:55:38 am
Haha yeah, businesses go bankrupt all the time so if one were to view this as in continuity with SDMI, that's probably the best explanation we're going to get!
5/20/2020 12:13:23 pm
I was also wondering why you guys chose to put SCOOB! in the Reboot section?
5/20/2020 01:49:42 pm
It was mainly my decision and Dallas agreed to it, since he hasn't had a chance to watch the movie yet. It sort of doesn't really fit with any particular series, as it provides yet another explanation as to how the gang met, and it's out of continuity with stuff like Mask of the Blue Falcon and the three Dynomutt episodes the gang guest stars in, even though those other pieces you researched fit with the timeline. I'd be happy to hear if you have a different opinion of where it should be placed, though! :)
5/21/2020 01:26:43 pm
it seems that they were trying to make an origin story for the original scooby game and not the ones from the reboot or just trying to reboot them again.in the trailer they stated that it is an origin story a few times. and then they remade the original intro song. witch seemed they were trying to show that those events had already happened but remember its an origin story. and the intro song remake had scenes different and some scenes they were younger implying that they did not happen the same way they happened in the show. and you guys have stated that the events of the og show happened in the MI original timeline but happened differently than in the first show. and that's not all. also what do you mean out of continuity with stuff like Mask of the Blue Falcon and the eps with them?
5/21/2020 04:24:06 pm
I'm not sure which "original Scooby game" you're talking about, sorry. The Mask of the Blue Falcon film portrays Blue Falcon as sort of this washed up superhero if I remember right, and doesn't talk anything about the Falcon Fury. Dynomutt is always far more goofy and silly, whereas in SCOOB! he was super serious, so unless he had a serious personality change (which is possible) it wouldn't be consistent with the Dynomutt we see in SCOOB!.
5/21/2020 06:37:29 pm
I did not mean to say game i ment show that was a typo
5/22/2020 11:30:43 am
Ah okay, that makes more sense. I think Scooby Goes Hollywood makes it the most iffy because it directly contradicts this...so either SCOOB! has to be a reboot or Scooby Goes Hollywood is...though I'm minded to believe maybe we should move Scooby Goes Hollywood to the reboots and make SCOOB! into the main continuity...what do you think?
5/22/2020 02:28:33 pm
I do remember a doc or something that Dallas and you Made. that had this timeline and notes that explained why things went where they were on the timeline and on the doc it said that in scooby doo goes to Hollywood it was revealed that they got scooby from a pet shop. but in an ep of what's new scooby doo S3E8 there was a flashback to when they were kids and scoob was there you guys explained this as Scoob being shags dog but then he got lost at some point but then they got him back years later at the pet shop. but that flashback takes place in the Pup Named Scooby-doo era. that show toke place in the original MI timeline. what if they at some point after creating the new timeline they got the memories of the way their life happened up until the point when they arrived in the new timeline. have you ever seen the flash [SPOILER WARNING] he time-traveled in an ep creating a new timeline called flashpoint. in it he started losing his memories from the other timeline and they would be replaced by the memories from the timeline he created. the same thing would happen to them only they would also have memories from the old timeline. let us pretend for a second that they did not go crazy from having memories of 2 different lives. they would prob not know which one was really how they met Scoob. so their memory from Scooby-Doo goes to Hollywood was from the new timeline.
5/22/2020 02:34:15 pm
This would mean that Scooby Doo goes to Hollywood and Scoob are both in the main continuity
5/23/2020 10:15:24 am
This is a really interesting theory and I like it! I checked with Dallas to see if he liked it before I change anything, and he said he would come here and read it within the next few days. Thank you for the suggestion!
5/22/2020 11:52:23 pm
In mask of the blue falcon, Blue falcon and Dynomutt are just charecters on a superhero show and not real, but they are real in the Dynomutt show where the gang made cameos. how do you explan that?
5/23/2020 10:17:39 am
You know, this is actually another great point! I will let Dallas know to check this comment out as well to see what he thinks. I agree that this is a major plothole that would require one of them to be a reboot/out of main continuity, unless of course we went with your explanation about the multiple realities above.
5/23/2020 12:01:50 am
What is the canon age of the gang in MI?
5/23/2020 09:58:49 am
I would say 16 or 17!
5/23/2020 11:24:25 am
Ty for taking a look at my suggestions and theories, I really appreciate it. the other day I watched Scooby-Doo and the curse of the 13th ghost. and the sheriff said they are almost 18 meaning they are not yet 18. according to the timeline and where you mark the end of a year and beginning of another they are at least 33 by this point.
5/23/2020 04:05:28 pm
Of course! Haha, they're so inconsistent with the age thing I'm not sure there's a way to get around that one!
5/23/2020 05:42:26 pm
for all we know they look really young and the Sheriff mistaked them for teens lol!
5/24/2020 10:18:33 am
Maybe so haha!
5/25/2020 01:29:15 pm
Hello all, apologies on not keeping up appearances on here. This is just one of MANY timelines/chronological viewing orders I'm involved in. Star Wars and DC keep me VERY busy. Thank you all for your support and continued questions.
5/25/2020 02:12:02 pm
Hello Dallas, I have been a long time Scooby-Doo fan and I have great I know that making timelines like this takes lots of time and effort and I would love to help. recently I have been watching at least 2 Scooby-Doo movies a day and I would be okay with watching a lot more scooby doo to help with the timeline. I have always been a person who wants to watch and read things chronologically. and I would love to help solve the mystery of what Scoobys Chronology is.
5/25/2020 02:24:15 pm
Hello Kirbo! Glad to hear you are interested in helping! I would say just start taking notes as you watch and keep us all updated. You can let myself or WildWindVampire know of any notes/details you discover. There is no such thing as "too much information". Anything you think may help to better place a movie or episode in relation to the rest of the timeline will be absolutely noted and would help with this massive project.
5/26/2020 07:16:57 pm
Thank you, Dallas and WildWind, for all your help, as always! I know this isn't a full-time job for either of you, so I appreciate all the time and effort you put into trying to make a consistent timeline, when even the people making the (wonderful) shows haven't made continuity a priority.

5/25/2020 02:38:20 pm
Hello Dallas, Ty for responding so quick I will try to help as much as I can.
5/25/2020 02:50:28 pm
Absolutely. Thank you so much for your assistance with this!
5/25/2020 10:21:12 pm
You guys also have a doc with the timeline in it and i has some notes. one says that after the Laff-a-lympics they got a tv show about them. i think that Be cool Scooby Doo could acually be the tv show. i have no proof but I will watch every ep and see what i can find
5/26/2020 11:01:15 am
Thanks so much for your help, Kirbo!
5/27/2020 12:45:15 am
I was looking at the doc ad i found something i found interesting aandi think might be placed better somewhere else. tomarrow i am extremly busy with online school. i will try to check it out as i can
5/27/2020 10:07:23 am
Yes, please let us know what that is whenever you get the chance! Good luck with online school!
5/27/2020 11:51:12 am
i brunt my hand while making eggs now it too hard to do work today so i will do work tomarrow and will doo reserch for the timeline

5/27/2020 02:42:32 pm
Hello I just watched Scooby abracadabra Doo, and the GPS in it is hat interested me. they say its a new GPS. in WNSD ep 1 freds GPS was malfunctioning and they prob had to get a new one maaybe the one we see in Scooby abracadabra Doo. we also get a good look at both the
5/27/2020 04:52:50 pm
I see you're right that Abracadabra was placed before Where Are You. I think we may have done that due to the style being darker and different than most DTV films near What's New (I don't think I was the one that chose that placing, I believe it was Dallas). But this is a great thing to take into consideration! Thank you!
6/5/2020 02:36:24 am
Wow the website has been quiet the last few days, ive been busy with school wrapping up but i hve done some reserch for the timeline and found a few things, in SDMI there is one scene where Delphine lookis at a statue of scrappy and Fred says "Look away Delphine, we promised wed never speak of him again" meaning not only does he exit in the Og timeline but he also was most likley a part of the gang at some point and then they had some falling out. So i think that all the eps with scrappy and the WHole gang should be moved to before SDMI but the eps with crappy, Scoob, SHaggy and sometimes Delphine should stay where they are or be moved to better fitin the timeline. so in the new timeline after SDMI scrappy prob came to live with His Uncle Scooby and Scoob prob forgave him Shaggy would prob be okey with it. and in the scene from SDMI Delphine did not seem to hold a grudge or be ashamed of him so shew would prob forgive him. also in Sooby doo Cruse of the 13th Goust Velma and Fred do not seem to remember him maybe They did not tell them that they forgave Scrappy. also if this is the case we should prob add the original 2 scooby doo live action moives the fist one would prob go after the eps with scrappy and i will leave where the sequal monters unleased goes up yo you guys.plz let me know if there is any questions you haven regarding this theroy and I will be sure to give a answer
6/5/2020 07:47:42 am
That's a really interesting scene, and one that caught my attention as well. The thing is that Flim Flam is also mentioned/shown in the museum, and the only production Flim Flam appears in is "13 Ghosts."
6/5/2020 10:35:03 am
Totally agree with your theory, Kirbo! Tom, Maybe this seems like a cop-out answer, but maybe Vincent Van Ghoul was an actor in SDMI, but when the timeline reset, he became a demon hunter?
6/5/2020 10:39:36 am
I said that only the scrappy eps with the whole gang would be moved meaning 13 ghosts would stay where it is. Vincent is still a Tv star in the Og timeline. they prob met Flim Flam in a diffifernt way.
6/5/2020 03:21:52 pm
That could be as well.
6/6/2020 08:01:16 am
Hi again, Kirbo! Thanks for the continued discussion. I hope it's clear that I'm not arguing with you, just trying to work with you on hashing all the details out. The people making the shows didn't make this easy for us, so we're all just doing the best we can! :)
6/6/2020 08:56:23 am
On a side note, that would be awesome if they made an "Into the Scooby-Verse" movie haha. The last Scooby-Doo! Team Up comic kind of explored that, but I would love to see a longer version of all the different versions of the gang meeting themselves!
6/5/2020 10:41:50 am
On a side note, I think its possible that Vincent was a demon hunter and was just hiding it and using being a moive star as a cover
6/5/2020 03:21:25 pm
Would it matter though if the timeline was reset anyway?
6/5/2020 10:50:53 am
the only problem is I think we should also add the 2002 Scooby Doo witch would not make since becuase in it the monster was real. but in later events she has a much harder time accepting the super natural. after the events of zombie island she refusses to let the fact that it was real even be a possibility. but in SDMI she let it be a possiblity she knew it was real she just toke time to process it. maybe its becuase she had just recently had an encounter with a real monster in the 2002 Scooby Doo moive and after the timeline reset she was prob convinsed that there were none in the new timeline witch is why she would not accept it later on.
6/5/2020 03:36:20 pm
I guess I'm confused as to how adding the 2002 film would make a difference, since SDMI is already the first thing in the timeline and everything that happened is rebooted.
6/5/2020 03:39:37 pm
In the 2002 film Scrappy was the villien and thats prob why they wont talk about him
6/5/2020 04:41:15 pm
Oh I gotcha! I can bring it up to Dallas and see what he thinks, but I believe he wanted to leave out those live action films because of how much it screwed with the continuity (particularly the prequels).
6/5/2020 05:48:04 pm
I don't think the prequals are canon. Just the 2002 and 2004 ones should be added
6/6/2020 08:54:59 am
Sounds good, I will mention it to him!
6/10/2020 10:26:48 am
I talked to Dallas and he still thinks that the continuity is separate and that this is more of an animated timeline, which I would say I agree with. Thank you for the suggestion though, I appreciate it!
6/10/2020 12:41:23 am
How did you all become Fans of Scooby what sparked your Love of the franchise?
6/10/2020 10:23:46 am
Personally, I got into Scooby when I was 7. My parents had recorded some VHS tapes of airings of Scooby on the USA Network, and I fell in love with the franchise from there! I loved the mystery aspect of the series and just the whole dynamic of the show. How about you?
6/10/2020 11:59:08 am
I Don't Remember exactly how I fell in love with the franchise I just know that I did I had tons of scooby doo coloring and eye spy books. One Christmas i got a scooby doo DVD called scooby doo meets batman it had 2 eps from the new scooby doo movies on it and i loved it I watched it all the time, it was the first scooby doo DVD i owned and i was very protective of it i don't think I let anyone but me and my friend who also loved scooby doo touch it. my older sister had owned scooby doo curse of the lake monster I watched it all the time that too I think that's what brought me into the franchise. I also rented scooby doo from my library all the time. i was a huge Scooby fan my family knew it my friends knew it even my teachers. in 3rd grade, the teacher gave me scooby doo books to read I guess my mom told her I liked scooby doo. I had just moved to a new school it was around this time I was falling away from the fanbase prob because of the stress of a new school and people making fun of me. I had been worried i would never see my best friend again, who was also a scooby doo fan. just a few months before the quarantine started i came back to the fan base.
6/10/2020 10:35:45 pm
Scooby-Doo Meets Batman was among the first episodes I saw as well, along with the Harlem Globetrotters episodes, which is why I have such a soft spot from those. I totally get worrying about people making fun of you; I worried about liking Scooby not being mature enough when I was in middle school as well. But I'm still a fan to this day, so obviously the worry didn't overcome my love for Scooby! That's cool that you came back to the fanbase though after leaving!
6/11/2020 07:12:08 am
Sorry to hear that people were bullying you, Kirbo! That's sad. I wish people were more respectful of others' likes and interests. But I'm glad you're part of the fan base now!
6/12/2020 11:19:14 pm
aww thanks guys, I was never really worried about peopel bulling me about liking scooby the min reason i left was becuase of the stress of a new school. it ool how some of the first eps watched were also scooby doo meets batman. i was just at the store and they had the first 2 seasons of where are you for 20 dollers i almost got it but i forgot my money and my mom said it was too much lol. if i see it again and i have my money im gonna buy it
6/13/2020 10:41:33 am
You should absolutely buy it next time you're there, you need to buy it! It's definitely worth it!
6/13/2020 11:10:52 am
ok then i definetly will
7/14/2020 11:46:46 pm
I have been a fan of Scooby literally my entire life. Like, I can't even remember how I became such a huge fan. I decided today to binge watch the entire series in chronological order, as despite my love for it, there's still A LOT I haven't seen. I even subscribed to Boomerang to make it easier. So I went searching on Google for the best order, and came across this. I'm so thankful for it! I think a lot of it makes sense, and will gladly bring up and ideas I have for possible changes to make it better. Really look forward to following this through, and really happy I discovered this blog.
7/15/2020 11:15:19 am
So glad this was helpful for you! And welcome to the blog Graig! :)
7/15/2020 01:15:07 pm
Thanks! I'm really excited to be here.
7/16/2020 01:49:46 am
Not sure where else to post this, so thought here would work, but in the A Pup Name Scooby-Doo episode Ghost Who's Coming To Dinner, the gang encounter the ghost Mr. Boo, and it's pretty clear he's a real ghost. I forgot ALL about this, and am kinda mind blown.
7/16/2020 07:22:54 am
I forgot about that too! It is pretty crazy they had real ghosts even in that series!
7/16/2020 01:18:33 pm
Right? Like, that's crazy! But I've always felt like the Scoobyverse is set in a world full of the supernatural, they just don't always encounter it, and this fuels it.
7/25/2020 08:52:28 am
You mess up on Scooby Doo Where are you, A Clue for Scooby Doo comes before Hassle in the Castle.I love your work for this chart so informative.
7/25/2020 09:38:03 am
Many DVDs list it as being switched around in the way we have it listed on here, which I would argue is the way that it aired. I am aware that Scoobypedia has it different, and it was probably produced before Hassle in the Castle given the different title cards.
9/13/2020 07:38:52 pm
so far ive almost watched this entire list
9/13/2020 08:30:46 pm
So glad the list has been helpful for you, Psy!
10/7/2020 09:25:40 pm
Hi! Thank you for this list! Been an on-off Scooby watcher all my life. My question is: Is it fair to say that, outside of live action movies and the new Scoob!, most Scooby Doo shows/episodes fall into the "New Timeline"?
10/8/2020 08:02:24 am
Yep! I believe MI creates a new timeline (similar to the film "X-Men: Days Of Future Past") Meaning anything post MI is part of that new continuity.
10/8/2020 09:10:41 am
Honestly, I would say yes, though I'd add taking out Get A Clue as well. Guess Who has a few continuity errors in it, and so do these recent "sequel" movies, but offhand I'd say it would work if you took all those out.
10/21/2020 01:14:00 pm
Hey all, I made some updates today to add Guess Who season 2 and Happy Halloween to the timeline. A few of the most recent episodes are out of order because "The High School Wolfman's Musical Lament!" includes scenes from season 2, episodes 3 and 7, likely meaning they were aired in a different order than it was produced.
10/22/2020 08:32:56 am
Great work as always, Wildwind!
10/22/2020 01:34:45 pm
Thank you! The head writer of Be Cool, Jon Colton Barry, has directly said that it's intended to be a reboot of Where Are You, providing a different origin story for the gang. Fred's dad is a criminal, Scooby is introduced to Scooby Snacks and we find out how they're named after him specifically, Daphne's birthday is on Christmas, among some other contradictions and discrepancies from the rest of the franchise. Seeing as JCB said that it is a reboot, we wanted it to be in its own category since it was specifically created to provide its own origin story for the gang of sorts.
10/24/2020 10:21:28 am
Ahh, got it. Thank you for clarifying! That all intrigues me. I should really check out more episodes of "Be Cool"!
4/23/2022 05:35:53 pm
Just noticed when going through this comment thread again that I had missed, including this one. Apologies this response is two years late, but I suppose better late than never haha. I would definitely recommend watching Be Cool! It’s the funniest Scooby series in my opinion, and the gang dynamics and character development are excellent.
3/6/2021 08:13:40 pm
For "One-Minute Mysteries" I believe when they reused the classic Villians they were the original culprits not different ones.
3/7/2021 11:28:25 am
I'm pretty sure at least one of them was different if not more. I know Simone was dressed as the swamp witch, but I don't remember the others.
10/22/2020 06:55:38 am
Hey Tom Hostle,
10/22/2020 08:28:11 am
No worries! It happens to all of us sometimes. :)
10/22/2020 01:31:51 pm
No worries. I'm not necessarily all for SDMI being before Where Are You either, it was more Dallas's idea than mine. I think the explanation was just that everything was rebooted at the end of SDMI, so basically the "new reality" sent them back in time to Where Are You.
11/17/2020 10:47:08 am
For those following this, I just updated this today to include the two most recent Guess Who episodes, "Total Jeopardy!" and "Lost Soles of Jungle River!".
Byron Stephen Stanavage
2/26/2021 12:31:18 pm
So I’ve read a decent amount of comments, and I’m hoping that you still to this day look at this post, but I’m going to watch the timeline order, if changes haven’t been made that need to be. Can you give me a heads up? Scooby Doo obviously like many has been cherished by me for years and still am, however I have not seen any of the new series. I’m excited to watch how this plays out! Thank you for taking so much time in doing research, and sharing with us die-hard fans!
2/28/2021 11:26:11 am
Hi Byron, I do look at this post still and have a recent comment feed that shows whenever anyone makes a comment on any thread, so I'll always see it! :) I just added The Sword and the Scoob and the most recent Guess Who episode. The Sword and the Scoob, however, is placed in the reboot section of the timeline, because there is a very brief scene in which a clip from the intro from Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! is shown (this is during the scene where the gang is sent back in time by the ghost of Morgan La Fey). Unfortunately, since Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! is in the reboot timeline, this has to be placed there as well.
3/17/2021 01:22:52 pm
Been a while decided to pop back up here how you all doing?
3/18/2021 10:31:09 am
The answer to this is actually in the response right above your question :)
3/17/2021 02:35:48 pm
OMG IM JUST NOW GETTING AROUND TO WATCHING HAPPY HALLOWEEN SCOOBY DOO AND THE SCARECROW HE MENTIONED CRYSTAL COVE! I believe this is the first time they mentioned Crystal COve in a moive tell me if Wrong i might be but im just freaking out over it
3/18/2021 10:32:32 am
It's the first time they've mentioned it aloud, but they have had Crystal Cove license plates on the Mystery Machine in a couple movies. Crystal Cove is also mentioned in the Sword and the Scoob.
4/2/2021 07:06:21 am
It’s mentioned in the first LEGO Scooby Doo movie I believe
4/17/2021 02:47:26 pm
Yes, I can confirm that Crystal Cove is mentioned in that film.
3/18/2021 11:12:06 am
I just added the Guess Who episodes "The Tao of Scoob!" and "Returning of the Key Ring!" to the timeline.
3/25/2021 11:36:47 am
"The Lost Mines of Kilimanjaro!" (Guess Who) has been added to the timeline.
3/30/2021 01:29:14 pm
I just added "Cher, Scooby and the Sargasso Sea" from Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? to the timeline.
4/2/2021 07:04:46 am
It’s me again! I was just wondering how be cool Scooby Doo isn’t in the SDMI timeline because they unmask people like the spooky space kook and that blue guy. Also in guess who they unmask the creeper which would make sense bc in MI they talk about the creeper.
4/2/2021 09:01:38 am
One of the head writers of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! has shared that the show purposefully reimagines moments from Where Are You in a different timeline (including Shaggy and Scooby being introduced to Scooby Snacks), so we decided to move it into its own reboot timeline.
4/6/2021 01:53:45 pm
I just added "Scooby-Doo and the Sky Town Cool School!" from Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? to the timeline.
4/17/2021 08:50:09 am
Hey it’s me again! I have another point I wanted to talk about and that is the gangs age. In where are you the gang is 15,16,17. In mystery incorporated they’re all the same age. This leads me to believe the mystery incorporated should be part of a separate timeline because in a pup named Scooby Doo their ages are the same as way. Just a suggestion tho your timeline is really groovy already!
4/17/2021 02:40:49 pm
Thank you! I'll bring it up to Dallas and see what he thinks.
4/17/2021 09:01:12 am
Another question lol: why is Arabian nights before Mystery Incorporated. Not saying it’s wrong I’m just curious. I assumed it took place after scrappy is gone but before zombie island.
4/17/2021 02:41:33 pm
That would be one I'd have to ask Dallas on as I honestly don't remember why it was placed there.
4/17/2021 09:29:38 am
I have another question which is has to do with Batman. So in the dynamic Scooby Doo affair Batman and robin meet the gang for the first time. But in your timeline you have the movie before the episode which i mean you can do whatever you want and I’m not gonna complain your timeline’s great but the episode is the first time they meet.
4/17/2021 02:44:50 pm
The reason we put the movie before the episode was because Batman was alone in that film (Robin was nowhere to be seen), and the gang acted like they had never met Batman before, and Batman was kind of cold with them. I suppose the episode could go before the movie and maybe the film could be put in the reboot timeline, since they don't really seem to recognize Batman at all in either.
4/17/2021 09:06:34 pm
Ah yes the reboot timeline would make a lot of sense.
4/17/2021 09:11:54 pm
Another point (your probably getting tired of my comments lol) is the fact that boo brothers, ghoul school, and reluctant werewolf takes place before daphnes return. I think it would make more sense if you moved those movies up after the end of puppy hour or Richie rich. If you have a reason to put them there I would love to here it. The Scooby timeline is the biggest mystery of all lol.
4/18/2021 05:39:33 pm
No worries, I'm not getting sick of your questions at all! I feel like all these things you're asking are things Dallas put there that I just didn't challenge haha. To explain, Dallas is the one who created most of this timeline and he reached out to me to see if my site would be a place to publish it. I also read over what he had and offered suggestions...so yeah, I'm sorry that my answer to many of your questions are "I'll ask Dallas," but the things you're asking are things that Dallas put there that I just didn't challenge. I agree it would make more sense that Boo Brothers/Ghoul School/Reluctant Werewolf were after the shorts.
4/18/2021 09:50:47 am
Oh yeah so I was thinking about the Batman movie I remembered that Velma wears robins costume which means robin was there before the movie. It’s possible he came back but I’m not sure that’s the case. Anyways I’m glad you guys are open to suggestions and still check this!
4/18/2021 05:41:14 pm
You're absolutely right, I had forgotten about that! I have sent Dallas an email (haven't heard back yet though) so I'll let you know what I hear back!
4/18/2021 05:38:51 pm
Hey guys I just came over this This is a big help I like watching things in chronological order I am so happy and thankful for everyone’s efforts on this time line keep it up.
4/18/2021 05:40:01 pm
So glad this was helpful, Jason!
4/18/2021 05:42:22 pm
Also I am big fan of Scooby doo love it I just had trouble finding the right way to watch them and now I have as I said in last post I am extremely grateful for this
4/18/2021 05:43:50 pm
Yeah, the continuity is definitely confusing in the franchise, especially when a few of the films/episodes contradict each other. That was a big motivator for us to create this timeline!
4/18/2021 06:30:13 pm
It's been a *while* since I was on here, and was originally planning on watching Scooby chronologically last year, but that didn't happen. This time, it is happening, and I'll be sure to pay as close attention to everything as possible and if I notice anything I'll be sure to mention it here!
4/19/2021 08:29:49 am
Thanks Graig, I have not had the time to devote myself to this franchise in a while myself. Be sure to send me any notes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
4/19/2021 11:50:13 am
Thanks Dallas I’m gonna put together a list of information and questions and send them to you! I’ve been thinking about lot about the Scooby Doo timeline recently.
4/24/2021 12:07:54 pm
No problem! And will do.
4/19/2021 09:18:50 am
Welcome back, Graig!
4/24/2021 12:08:17 pm
Thank you! Really happy to be back.
4/18/2021 08:22:00 pm
So I already noticed something in the first episode of A Pup Named. When Shaggy's at the Clubhouse with the gang and upset about his bike being stolen, he says it's a "cherry 1959 Starfire Special". The bike doesn't actually exist, but it gives a year. Personally, I've alwayd felt the gang was around 8 years old in A Pup Named, and if Shaggy is 17 in 1969 when the Where Are You aired he'd be 7 in 1959. It's probably set in the summer too, since Shaggy has a job, and has to get up early, and most kids probably wouldn't want to have a job and school at that time. Though I guess if it's supposed to be the 50s, that might have been more common.
4/19/2021 07:53:31 am
Good point Graig! The only problem is that we don’t have any proof shaggy gets his bike at the time of a pup named Scooby Doo. It’s possible he got his bike a few years earlier. My opinion is that shaggy is 9-10 during the show but then again when shaggy looses his bike he acts like he’s 7 lol.
4/23/2021 08:17:11 pm
THank you!! And you're right, we don't. Also, Daphne calls it a "rickety old bike" so that tells us it's probably a few years old - Daphne would probably call anything a year old "rickety" at that point haha - so it's likely the show is set a few years after the bike's first release.
4/19/2021 09:20:02 am
Interesting point! Thanks for sharing it and I think that could be very helpful to the timeline for a point of reference.
4/23/2021 08:17:51 pm
No problem! Just thought it was interesting.
4/18/2021 11:25:39 pm
Okay, I forgot that Scooby probably ages like a human (he shows up as a "baby puppy" with Shaggy in a flashback in the third episode of A Pup Named) so ignore the thing about his heigh/age cause he's probably around the same age as the rest of the gang lol.
4/19/2021 08:08:13 am
Scooby Doo is 7 during where are you. Which means he’s probably just born in APNSD (which means shaggy has to be at least ten in APNSD).
4/19/2021 08:11:26 am
Okay so I just saw the comic book flashback in APNSD ep 3. I’m so confused now. No idea how Scooby Doo was alive before he was born lol. Maybe the comic book person was joking idk.
4/19/2021 09:18:12 am
That is confusing haha. I assume she was joking. It was never confirmed that Scooby-Doo was 7 during Where Are You in-show.
4/23/2021 08:20:18 pm
Scooby's age was never confirmed in the show I believe. And I think based on info from Mystery Incorporated, we can assume that Scooby ages at a more human rate than normal dogs, which is how that would work.
4/24/2021 10:42:40 am
Nope, Scooby's age was not confirmed in any show (I don't think any of the gang's was confirmed either). I believe Mystery Begins is the closest we get where it's confirmed Shaggy is 16 (while the rest of the gang is assumed to be 15) because he got held back a year.
4/24/2021 12:10:05 pm
Right! So, knowing that, since Scooby is shown to age at the same right as Shaggy in Pup, and we know that he's not entirely a normal dog, we can just assume he ages like a human does.
4/19/2021 08:34:32 am
Hello everyone, I see we have a ton of feedback and new questions/comments. Thank you all for those things! I recently re-evaluated this timeline and it's definitely in need of a reassessment as new content gets released. I've been working on a new graphical timeline that can be previewed here.
4/19/2021 11:48:41 am
4/23/2021 08:43:33 pm
Thanks a bunch for this! To justify me watching A Pup Named first, I would like to say I think it could possibly be canon to both timelines? I I feel it would fit leading into both Myster Incorporated and Where Are You, if that makes sense.
4/24/2021 10:40:21 am
That's a super interesting theory! Personally, I've seen all of the Scrappy series and I think it could work.
4/24/2021 12:10:58 pm
Thank you! And Great! I wasn't sure, but I'm glad it seems like it could as it makes a lot of sense to me.
4/20/2021 06:02:23 pm
Hi WildwindVampire and Dallas!
4/21/2021 09:42:56 am
Aww, I'm so glad that the timeline has been helpful to you, Graham! <3
4/21/2021 11:38:48 am
It really has - I'm also a lifelong DC fan, so I love continuity debates/theories!
4/21/2021 04:54:24 pm
I would absolutely agree that Curse of the 13th Ghost, Return to Zombie Island and Happy Halloween are a trilogy. They all reference the Mystery Machine (though Happy Halloween didn't really explain how they got the Mystery Machine back) and the sheriff, so I would say they were probably intended to be watched as a trilogy.
4/23/2021 08:29:43 pm
So I finished season one of A Pup Named, and am over half way through season 2, but I thought I'd post my notes from season 1.
4/23/2021 08:53:09 pm
- Also, Ghost Who's Coming To Dinner should be set before Snow Place Like Home, since it's set on Halloween.
4/24/2021 10:41:16 am
Thank you so much for all these interesting observations! I agree about "Snow Place Like Home" being after "Ghost Who's Coming to Dinner?" given the seasons. What do you think, Dallas?
4/24/2021 12:12:28 pm
4/26/2021 09:38:10 am
Ok so this is what I have so far:
4/26/2021 02:10:01 pm
Yeah this definitely works!
4/26/2021 09:30:17 am
Graig, this is awesome! You are doing exactly the right process! Keep it up! Finding any of the series production codes has been a huge pain. It would greatly help if anyone knows where we can find out the production order for each series. Anyway, little details can make a huge difference so you have the right idea! Thanks for your help!
4/26/2021 11:56:40 am
Thanks! It's actually a lot of fun trying to pick up on specific details. And yeah, I tried but came up with nothing. Great! I'll keep doing it! And no problem!
4/26/2021 01:52:34 pm
Ok so here's how I have it after applying your notes:
4/24/2021 07:49:24 pm
So I was watching a pup a few days ago and I noticed Shaggy’s dad pops up and he’s not the Shaggy’s dad from MI. So I have a question is there a new timeline between a pup and MI and the another new timeline between MI and WAY? I wasn’t sure. Thanks and I working on an email with some questions and comments so I can stop filling up the comments here lol. Oh and also I checked the link Dallas sent and I’m pretty sure he has MI in the reboot timeline just so you know Wildwindvampire.
4/24/2021 08:35:09 pm
Thanks for mentioning that! I forgot to say something, especially since all the parents are different from Mystery Incorporated.
4/26/2021 09:28:20 am
Hello guys, glad to see so much collaboration on here. If anyone wants to send me their notes while watching, my e-mail address is email@example.com. I'd be happy to gather up your notes and go back and forth via e-mail anytime. I've been very busy with DC, Marvel and Star Wars (let me know if interested in those franchises) so Scooby has been on the back-burner. Any notes you send will absolutely be considered! Thanks all!
4/27/2021 10:14:15 am
I’m actually a huge Star Wars and marvel fan. I watch those series all the time. Not to interested in dc tho.
4/27/2021 10:19:43 am
Awesome! Here is my chronological viewing order for Star Wars.
4/28/2021 10:06:27 am
These are so cool, Dallas! I'm definitely not as big of fan of Star Wars/DC/Marvel as Scooby, but I've seen a lot of the movies, so it's cool to get your take on the timeline!
4/28/2021 01:16:11 pm
Ooooo this is great! Have no interest in Star Wars at all, but I LOVE superheroes and have been MCU obsessed for - well basically since it started, and have recently gotten into DC. Thank you!!!
4/28/2021 01:25:39 pm
Glad you guys like it! Be sure to bookmark those links, as I update frequently!
4/28/2021 10:35:50 am
4/26/2021 02:12:11 pm
I don't know whether to got to Where Are You or Be Cool once I'm done with Mystery Incorporated lmao.
4/26/2021 03:00:07 pm
I would do Where Are You I guess? But either works I suppose, we've just determined Be Cool is in a separate universe from everything else.
4/26/2021 03:06:39 pm
Thank you!! That's what I originally planned because of this, and it makes a lot of sense to me, but since Dallas placed Be Cool after Mystery Inc in the new one I wasn't sure.
4/26/2021 03:09:40 pm
Come to think of it, I noticed that too but didn't really process that it had been moved after Mystery Incorporated. I'm not really sure what Dallas's reasoning for switching the order was there. I guess my advice would be to watch Where Are You after Mystery Inc because Be Cool is in a different continuity, but that's just my opinion! :)
4/26/2021 04:20:43 pm
Thank you! That's what I'm thinking too and what makes sense to me personally.
4/27/2021 07:55:44 am
That graphical timeline is a major work in progress so don't take anything on there as gospel yet. If Be Cool can work with Mystery as part of the same timeline, it would be nice!
4/27/2021 02:38:06 pm
Okay! Thank you haha. I will continue to stick with the one on this page for now.
5/31/2021 07:37:50 pm
I just added "Falling Star Man!" and "A Haunt of a Thousand Voices!" to the Guess Who section.
6/3/2021 07:04:35 am
Ok guys I’ve been spending a lot of time on Scooby recently and I’ve noticed some things. The puppet movie takes place around a pup named Scooby Doo. Also in Pirates Ahoy Fred has different parents so Pirates Ahoy can not be in the same timeline as mystery incorporated. Also why not put Arabian nights close to get a clue?
6/3/2021 10:42:12 am
For some reason Dallas didn't want Mystery Map in here, though I don't remember why. Yep, Pirates Ahoy has to be in a different timeline, I agree. I suppose we could put Arabian Nights next to Get a Clue, but Arabian Nights would have to be after since the first episode shows them breaking off from the gang at the diner.
6/5/2021 07:21:53 am
Yeah I’ll have to do a rewatch of Arabian nights to see. Also why couldn’t get a clue be before zombie island? In zombie island the gang has clearly broken up before zombie island (Velma at bookstore, Fred and Daphne at coast to coast, shaggy and scoob at the airport). In scrappy they clearly say Velma was at nasa and Fred was a writer so clearly this is different from zombie island.
6/5/2021 10:02:16 am
That's a great point about Get A Clue! I love the idea, but let's see what Dallas thinks!
6/3/2021 02:18:32 pm
You absolutely can!
6/5/2021 10:06:28 am
You're welcome :)
6/5/2021 10:06:11 am
I added "The Movieland Monsters!" from Guess Who to the timeline.
6/8/2021 05:43:07 pm
I added the remaining two episodes of Guess Who, "Scooby-Doo, Dog Wonder!" and "The Legend of the Gold Microphone!" to the timeline.
7/17/2021 10:14:30 am
Hey Wild just checking in to see if you have considered any of my suggestions. If not totally fine just curious. I tried to email Dallas about why Arabian nights is placed after a pup but got no response so if you could explain the reasoning behind that it would be much appreciated.
7/17/2021 10:43:44 am
Hi Jaguaro, I was also waiting for Dallas to respond here but he must be busy. I can send him an email and see if he responds to me. Thanks!
Thomas Allen Holste
7/17/2021 12:51:38 pm
Also, the reason behind the placement for "Arabian Nights" is Shaggy and Sccoby's age. They look older than they did in "Pup" but not as old as they would in "Where are You" and other productions.
7/18/2021 03:37:11 pm
Ok thanks Tom!
7/19/2021 10:32:21 am
Apparently my memory is terrible because I honestly didn't remember that explanation haha. Dallas's explanation makes a lot of sense though, so I'd say I definitely agree with him there :)
7/22/2021 10:09:29 am
Hello again! No offense but putting Arabian Nights after a pup named Scooby Doo is completely ridiculous. In the movie shaggy and Scooby are going to Saudi Arabia which is a foreign country (meaning they couldn’t travel by themselves if they aren’t adults) to become royal taste testers. I don’t know about you but to me royal taste testing doesn’t seem like a high school job. Also I watched Scooby Doo on Zombie Island and Shaggy clearly says “our love for food has taken us all over the world.” This is most likely what he’s talking about. I suggest you put Arabian Nights where it belongs: right before Zombie Island. I apologize that was a little heated. I’ve noticed you still have a pup and mystery incorporated in the same timeline. You should probably fix that unless you can explain how Shaggy’s dad changes and his little sister disappears. Anyways sorry I’m mad but I mean dads don’t change and high schoolers don’t get full time jobs on another continent. You guys are cool and please don’t take this as me trying to make you look bad, in fact I’m trying to make you look better!
7/22/2021 10:33:34 am
Hi Jaguaro, you make a great point about how it's unlikely royal taste testing would be a high school job, and the difference with Shaggy's father. I'm almost thinking Pup and SDMI need to be in an alternate timeline. I will bring that up to Dallas because I agree with you that it doesn't really fit there in hindsight. Thanks so much for your feedback/suggestions as always and for trying to make our timeline look better!
7/22/2021 03:54:17 pm
Hey man thanks for responding positively I was real grouchy this morning for no particular reason lol. Anyways I agree a pup named Scooby Doo shouldn’t be in the same timeline as Scooby Doo mystery incorporated. A word of advice: if you separate the two don’t put a pup in a separate timeline put MI in a separate timeline.
7/22/2021 05:39:09 pm
This is just my opinion, but since "Arabian Nights" is an adaptation anyway, I took it that we're just seeing their high school production of the play. ;) So there's no actual world traveling, just Shaggy and Scooby play-acting.
7/22/2021 08:10:28 pm
@Jaguaro No worries! :) Yeah, if Dallas agrees with moving it, SDMI is definitely moving to another timeline. It makes the most sense to move that one instead of Pup, given SDMI is the one that ends with its timeline rebooted.
7/22/2021 08:11:39 pm
@Tom Holste I actually really love that idea! haha I will still check in with Dallas to see how he wants to handle it though.
7/25/2021 04:37:52 pm
I talked with Dallas and he agreed with all of us on this. Arabian Nights has been moved directly before Zombie Island, and SDMI has been moved into an alternate timeline.
7/25/2021 06:05:22 pm
Fabulous!!! Now just add the beach beastie to the alternate timeline because it has freds house from mystery incorporated!
7/26/2021 09:09:37 am
You're right! Will do!
9/15/2021 11:56:39 am
I added Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog to the timeline at the very bottom.
10/29/2021 12:28:47 pm
Why is pup named Scooby Doo not first
10/29/2021 01:40:21 pm
This is a spoiler for SDMI, but the timeline resets at the end of the show. Dallas and I's rationale was that since the timeline completely resets, it made more sense to put everything after SDMI since nothing in that show technically happened once the timeline rebooted. Putting Pup before SDMI could imply that SDMI resetting the timeline somehow altered that show, which we didn't think made sense.
Thomas Allen Holste
10/30/2021 10:47:10 am
Hey, Wildwind! It looks like there are three timelines: Alternate, Original, and Reboot. Maybe if you put the Original first, it wouldn't cause as much confusion for readers? I'm not asking to change the timelines themselves, just the placement of them. If you did Original first, you'd start with "Pup," which is what most people are expecting to see. Then after "Get a Clue," you would have SDMI in its own separate, contained timeline. Then "Be Cool" would also be its own standalone thing as a Reboot.
10/31/2021 11:34:32 am
Hi Thomas! I really like your idea, as it does feel like a lot of people disagreed about SDMI being placed first. I'm not sure if Dallas checks this comment section much, so I'll send him an email and get back to you on if he agrees! I'm all on board with changing though. Thanks :)
11/1/2021 12:06:12 am
Alright, I talked to Dallas and he agreed with the change, so SDMI (the "Alternate Timeline") is now after Pup (the "Original Timeline")! Thanks again for the great suggestion! :)
11/1/2021 07:17:27 pm
Hooray! Glad my comment could help in some way. :)
11/1/2021 08:20:26 pm
Of course! I always appreciate your (and everyone else's) suggestions! :)
11/2/2021 07:29:59 pm
Yeah I thought we agreed Mystery Incorporated was going at the end as a separate timeline with the beach beastie that’s why I shut up lol. It can’t be in the same timeline as what’s new Scooby Doo because we meet freds parents
11/3/2021 12:20:50 pm
I apologize, I think I misunderstood what you were saying before. I thought you were asking Beach Beastie be at the end of the SDMI timeline (which was moved a while ago), not that SDMI should be after everything else. Regardless it's fixed now and sorry about my misunderstanding there.
11/3/2021 05:36:45 am
A few tips for you:
11/3/2021 11:59:09 am
I apologize if my previous remarks about asking Dallas what he thinks came off as dismissive. I went back and looked and see that I didn't get back to you when I said I'd talk to him in June. That was not my intention. Since this is a collaborative project though, I don't feel right just changing stuff without telling him, which is why I always say that I need to talk to him before changing things. If there's ever a time where I say I'll ask Dallas and then forget to get back to you about what he says, you're always welcome to post another comment reminding me. It's never my intention to ignore anyone.
11/3/2021 12:31:11 pm
Alright, I just talked with Dallas and everything except tip #7 has been changed in the timeline! Thank you again for your tips!
11/3/2021 06:44:18 pm
Well sweet thank you for you time and I’m glad I could help!!! If I spot anything else I’ll let you know I understand not taking the guess who tip it doesn’t have an reasoning behind it other than the wackiness and how it seems to be a remake of the new Scooby Doo movies as be cool was a remake of WAY.
11/3/2021 08:40:10 pm
You're very welcome and sounds good! :)
1/28/2022 01:14:55 am
i have seen this in two places on my DVDs and on wikipedia in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo in season 1 episode 3 should be "Wanted Cheddar Alive" and episode 4 should be "The Schnook Who Took My Comic Book" and in season 3 episode 3 should be "Horror Of The Haunted Hairpiece" and episode 4 should be "Wrestler Maniac" then season 4 should be in this order episode 1 "The Were-Doo Of Doo Manor" episode 2 "Catcher On The Sly" episode 3 "The Ghost Of Mrs. Shusham" episode 4 "The Wrath Of Waitro and episode 5 "Mayhem Of The Moving Mollusk"
1/29/2022 10:58:53 am
I know there's a bit of uncertainty regarding the order of these episodes, and unfortunately, the DVDs are inconsistent as well. The volume sets have one order and the season sets have another. For these, I think we decided to go by the Scooby-Doo Encyclopedia for the order since there isn't consistency, but you're correct that a couple of those don't reflect the order of the encyclopedia. I switched episodes 3 and 4 around for seasons 1 and 3, but the last group is in the correct order according to the encyclopedia. Since there isn't really any consensus on what order the final episodes are in, I think it's best we just stick to the encyclopedia order since that's the most reliable source we have IMO. I'm happy to discuss it further if you don't agree, though. Thank you for pointing out those mistakes, and I switched the season 1 and 3 episodes around.

Is this Scooby-Doo Encyclopedia something I can view on line or is it a physical book that I can buy
1/29/2022 12:42:20 pm
Yeah what encyclopedia? I have the Scooby Doo encyclopedia and it only has info on WAY - 13 Ghosts. Also there’s a consistent order which can be found on the wiki, Wikipedia and the dvd. Please elaborate on what you’re talking about

WildwindVampire can you tell me if the Scooby-Doo Encyclopedia you are referring to is something i can view online or is it a physical book i can buy

Sorry, I remembered the name of the book wrong. The encyclopedia I was talking about is the Scooby-Doo Character Reference Guide Part 2 by Joe LoCicero. Here's the Amazon link to it, though it unfortunately says the book is currently sold out. https://www.amazon.com/Scooby-Doo-character-reference-guide-LoCicero/dp/1560394005

Hello it’s me (again)! I’d just like to point out that there’s way more evidence to support putting Guess Who in the reboot timeline than in the regular timeline.
1/30/2022 10:14:02 am
Hi Jaguaro, our original reasoning for putting Guess Who where it's at now is it was stated by one of the character designers for the show, Tracy Mark Lee, that it's an "unofficial sequel to The New Scooby-Doo Movies." You do make a good analogy however about Guess Who being to The New Scooby-Doo Movies as Where Are You is to Be Cool. I'm on board with moving it. I just sent an email to Dallas just to make sure he is okay with it as well before finalizing.
1/31/2022 08:24:11 pm
Dallas said he agreed with us, so I just rearranged Guess Who to be in the reboot timeline!
1/30/2022 11:19:06 am
WildwindVampire thank you i really appreciate this other source material
1/30/2022 05:11:02 pm
Of course! :) I hope you're able to find it.

It's been awhile since I've been here, I've been so busy with school and other stuff I completely forgot about this. I have alot of comments to read to get caught up lol. How is everyone doing though
4/23/2022 09:55:16 am
Welcome back, Kirbo! Good to see you here again.
4/23/2022 04:27:57 pm
I’d just like to point out that you still have Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated at the top after A Pup despite it being in a separate timeline from every other piece of media except Beach Beastie. I don’t really understand the reasoning here as it just adds unneeded confusion that could he easily solved by moving it to the bottom as a separate reboot timeline
4/24/2022 10:13:53 am
You're right, it appears we forgot to switch it. I just changed it. Thanks!
4/24/2022 03:30:58 pm
It’s good except the pictures of be cool and mi are swapped
4/24/2022 06:52:34 pm
Oops, apologies for that. I just fixed it.

Hello! I’m back for more once again

I think Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, and the new Scooby movies (Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo Meets Courage The Cowardly Dog; Scooby-Doo! The Sword And The Scoob; and SCOOB!) feels more like they're on the original timeline. So can I ask, why they got placed on the reboot timeline? I'm genuinely curious about what's the reason behind this decision :)
7/18/2022 10:15:48 pm
Hi! We originally had Guess Who in the reboot timeline until recently, but we changed it in January because someone suggested that Guess Who was a reboot of The New Scooby-Doo Movies similarly to how Be Cool is a reboot of Where Are You. You can see the exchange that led to us changing it a few comments up, on January 29. There are some continuity errors as well, such as Velma saying she didn't know Daphne had an uncle in "What a Night, for a Dark Knight!" when they met Uncle Maxwell in "Never Ape an Ape Man," plus them catching all those villains that they already caught in "One-Minute Mysteries."

Wow, cool summary. It's totally makes sense now. Thanks for your and Dallas' work with this timeline, you're totally the coolest
7/19/2022 10:02:51 am
Thanks! :) Glad the timeline has been helpful for you.

Where does the episode with Johnny bravo fall?
11/20/2022 10:07:05 am
Sorry for the late reply. I keep forgetting to respond to this.

I updated the timeline with Velma. Velma takes place in an alternate timeline that is unconnected to any of the other series (which becomes pretty obvious when you watch the show haha).
1/27/2023 10:11:19 am
Under Scooby-Doo & Scrappy-Doo (The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show) there is an episode 1.13: "Rocky Mountain Yiiiii!" Now i think that should go up the Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo because that series is missing it 13th episode unless somebody can explain why it is where it is
1/27/2023 03:44:40 pm
I think we initially put it there because it takes place in December, and since an episode close to it ("Chinese Food Factory") took place during Chinese New Year which is January, we just put them together. However, looking at our main spreadsheet on Google Docs, it looks like "Rocky Mountain Yiiiii!" was put with the rest of The Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show episodes, so I moved it back. Thanks for pointing that out!

Here are a few things I did not see In the timeline witch I may have overlooked and they may be there there are a couple movies missing from your list that I thought I saw missing I may have overlooked them if so ignore this comment and have a nice day I noticed that Scooby Doo and the witches ghost is not on the list and that Scooby Doo and the Martians are not on there again you may have updated it and it's probably up there just thought I'd mention it
1/31/2023 12:54:26 pm
Hey Colin, both of those movies are on there. I assume you meant "Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders" instead of Scooby-Doo and the Martians, and if so, it's on there.
3/20/2023 02:46:22 pm
I just updated the timeline with Scooby-Doo and Krypto, Too!
