Overall, while not amazing, I thought this was a decent episode. I really liked the the ghost of Captain Taggart's design, though IMO too much of the episode was spent just chasing around. It inhibited the overall mystery and reduced it to just the bare minimum, which is a problem that Guess Who has faced before.
In terms of Kacey as a guest star, I thought her line delivery wasn't the best. Some of her lines seemed a bit forced, though the way they worked her into the episode was interesting and enjoyable. Some of the jokes in the episode seemed also a bit forced. Fred's gag at the end where he couldn't remember his lines was not at all funny though, quite possibly the worst joke of the episode. The two in the horse costumes at the beginning were almost equally annoying to me though. I thought it was interesting how they made Scooby's catch phrase "Scooby Snacks." What I did really love about this episode though is the setting. The Country Music Hall and the showboat had a great spooky atmosphere to them, and worked well with the villain. Overall, this was a very "meh" episode for me. I certainly didn't hate it, but I didn't love it as much as some others either. This one ranks 19/27 for me of the episodes so far. I liked this episode. I agree that the setting was fantastic and some of the jokes fell flat. I didn't dislike Fred forgetting his lines quite as much as you, although it wasn't the best joke; that honor goes to the 52 pick-up joke for as dumb as it was. I also liked the joke about turning around when swinging on light fixtures. After rewatching the entire series in preparation for the new episodes, my old order even changed a bit. Overall, this episode fell in the middle area. I was really disappointed because I'm a big country music fan and there wasn't even much mention of her career. I feel like this episode really suffered due to the 20 minute formula.

Yeah, this might have been better as a longer episode. I wish Kacey's career would have gotten more mention too, or maybe she could have even sang a bit or something for a chase song.

I hate to disagree with you... but I've already watched three clips from the actual episode and so far it didn't seem so "meh" to me.

Not a country music fan, so I'm not sure if it's good or bad that wasn't worked into the episode for me lol

Just saw the episode on kimcartoon and I thought it was good. The scene where the phantom chased the gang and Kacey on the steamboat with the doors is like how Captain Skunkbeard was chasing Shaggy and Scooby on his ship and with the doors.

This episode IMO was kinda a dull episode. There wasn’t anything new to add from what I saw. Not a great start hopefully the next episode can bring it up

The next episode is amazing compared to this one, or any one for that matter!

Massive fan of country music, but more clasic stuff, so probably why I hadn't heard of her before. Overall an alright episode with a nice call back to scooby doo where are you with the whole trapdoor leading to a riverboat scenario in Which witch is which. Yeah its a little out there, but that's what it reminded me off. Still this one loses huge marks for repetition once more. The culprit hiding in a cupboard is exactly what Penn did. Overall 21/27

Interesting, and yeah, she's a much newer country star I believe.

She is pretty new. If you're looking to get an idea of her songs, I'd recommend Rainbow, Merry Go Round, Biscuits, and Follow Your Own Arrow

I feel like I may have heard "Follow Your Own Arrow," like that title sounds familiar, but it was only once and probably a long time ago.

I like The Phantom of Captain Taggarts facal design, it kinda looks similar to Creepy Keeper from Whats New, Scooby-Doo!.

I noticed that too! It seems like they've taken a lot of inspiration from other series for the villains in Guess Who (i.e. the Technomancer, Snakeman Monster, etc.)
