Thanks to the Cop for getting the list, interesting, mostly disappointed about so few new ones, but err... what's the 4th?? I only see 3 on the list and on the "how to have a complete..." sections

Sorry, there is only three. I accidentally typed four originally, forgetting that "Happy Birthday Scooby-Doo" had already been released on the Happy Spook-Day Scooby-Doo DVD. I fixed it and republished the post, but apparently it didn't save? It's fixed now, sorry about that!

No worries, it happens to everyone occasionally, though happy spook-day scooby doo IS one of my favorite episodes and I never got that original dvd so I might pick it up if/when it goes cheap, the rest of the list, I mean it's good... but considering I own 99% of it... still feels meh too me, and it's criminal to not have a new scooby-doo movie or two. 7/20/2019 05:16:25 pm
It's weird they wouldn't put any of those on there. I'm surprised about 13 Ghosts as well. Huge wasted opportunity not to release some more new episodes, especially the other missing Scooby-Doo Show ones! 7/20/2019 12:36:41 pm
Hmm, I wasn't going to pick this up. But I may have to if it gets cheap enough.

I was surprised that there was no New Scooby-Doo Movies episodes too. There's also no 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo, or any of the Scrappy shorts.

Wow what a cop out. Incredibly disappointing but I expected this much. Such a wasted opportunity for them to release a dvd set of repeats. Not worth the price tag for the chiller Diller episode. No buy from me.

Agreed, this was a huge cop out! I don't mind Get A Clue, so it's good that "Chefs of Steel" and "Almost Ghosts" are on there too IMO. But still, did we really need 10 each of Where Are You and SDMI episodes? That seems a bit much even if they both are good series. They could have at least cut down on those by a few and included unreleased ones.

I wasn’t a fan of Get A Clue and I’ve glossed over that series. But yes it’s good they at least included two for those that need them. But yes far too many mystery inc episodes. Even the Laff-A-Lympics got forgotten about. They could have been crafty to purposely release at least half of unreleased episodes for guaranteed sales. I feel this just won’t sell all that well and they’ll be scratching their head as to why. 7/21/2019 11:27:03 am
Laff-a-Lympics should have been on there for sure. They could have released some of the season 2 episodes that way! I wish it would have been half unreleased episodes, or 50 episodes chosen by the fans would have been even better! Seems silly to just pick random episodes and throw them on a DVD. I don't want to be too negative, given I'm just glad we at least got three more of the 137 (now 134) unreleased episodes on DVD finally, but I can't help but feel we could have done a lot better.

I’m sad that they put one of my favourite episodes (the chiller Diller movie thriller) on this dvd and didn’t put any other missing the scooby doo show episodes on the dvd. There is no point of me purchasing it but I really want the chiller Diller movie thriller for my dvd collection.

Agreed, it seems silly to make fans buy a $37 fifty-episode DVD just to get 3 (or for some people, 1, depending on their opinion of Get A Clue) new episodes in their collection.

Of all the Scooby and Scrappy Doo episodes they could have gone with, they went with “The Ransom of Scooby Chief”, the absolute worst episode from the first Scrappy-Doo series?! “Strange Encounters of a Scooby Kind”, “I Left My Neck in San Francisco”, “The Scary Sky Skeleton” would have been much better choices. Actually, ANY episode from that season other than “Ransom” would have been a much better choice!

I feel the same way! It was a very dull episode with little plot and weak villains, in my opinion. I'm very surprised that they went with that one at all, as I think it's pretty mutually hated among most of Scooby fans.

Well, this is certainly a bit disappointing, although I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised. Warner's Looney Tunes collections have often seemed weirdly slapped together without much thought as to which cartoons were chosen or what order they appeared on the disc. So I should have expected there to be some puzzling choices in terms of inclusions and omissions on this set.

What I'm disappointed about is that there weren't more unreleased episodes. This was a perfect opportunity that WB squandered.

I was reading more about this on the Amazon reviews. Apparently, the episodes aren't even in chronological order on the set! Except for "What a Night for a Knight" being first, there's seemingly no rhyme or reason for the order.

I had heard this too! There's also no episode list included with the DVD, so it's basically just guessing which episodes are on which disc which is confusing and lazy on WB's part. It makes me wonder how they chose some of the episodes. It was a huge missed opportunity to finally release some of those missing episodes. I'm glad we got those two as well, it at least somewhat made up for this set being not the best.

My copy didn’t include the chiller diller movie thriller episode or the high rise hell raiser episode

Huh, that's odd. I wonder if you accidentally were given a copy from another region/country or something.

Mine was from England 12/7/2019 03:34:27 pm
I've heard some different episodes were included on the UK one, like a couple of Scrappy ones or something? Does that sound like what's on your copy? Leave a Reply. |
