There's been a lot of talk about Scooby physical media recently, due to the news of HBO Max removing all Scooby series on September 1. While it may not be the exciting set many of us were hoping for, we have our first DVD announcement in quite a while! On October 14, 2025, WB will be releasing a quadruple feature DVD titled Scooby-Doo! 4 Film Collection. The two-disc set will include Return to Zombie Island, Sword and the Scoob, Straight Outta Nowhere, and Krypto Too for $15. The set is now available for pre-order at Walmart.
Thanks to Scooby Snacks for letting me know about this news! Here is the back cover for the DVD:

The head of Warner Archive said there'd be more Scooby content coming from them, so hopefully that means we'll also get another Blu-Ray by the time the year is over.

I sure hope so too because we haven't had any new physical media releases of Scooby Doo since July 2024 and yet we finally get just a 4 movie collection on DVD I thought that we would get more Scooby Doo content on physical media like a giant box set of all the Scooby Doo movies and TV shows plus specials in 1 box set from Scooby Doo Where Are You to Velma from Scooby Doo Goes Hollywood to Scooby Doo and the Krypto Too from the Scooby Doo Project to Scooby Doo Where Are You Now or something like that 8/21/2025 09:28:02 am
A huge box set would be really cool! Not sure if they'd ever do something like that though, since it would likely cost hundreds of dollars considering the season sets are $30-40 on their own.

And further more, Warner Archive are also still currently working on restoring the entire H-B library (including "Wacky Races" (which has now been released on Blu-ray on April 29, 2025), "Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines" (which is now on MeTV Toons in the USA), "The Perils of Penelope Pitstop", "Inch High Private Eye", "Clue Club", "Hong Kong Phooey" and "Help!...It's the Hair Bear Bunch"), among many others.

While I have no interest in this collection, I am glad that they are releasing DVDs, maybe we can get some of the shows that weren’t fully released at some point

I'm glad to finally get another DVD as well. I don't hold out high hope for us getting unreleased episodes for obvious reasons, but it would be amazing if it could happen.

Warner Bros has gotta release more Scooby Doo content on physical media or else we are gonna lose interest in new Scooby Doo physical media releases if they keep releasing the same movies and episodes over and over again so come on Warner Bros give us new physical media releases of Scooby Doo content such as leftover episodes of most TV shows on DVD and leftover films on Blu Ray

So glad to see WB are releasing some physical media for us, I would like to see Blu Ray releases though (I assume DVDs are a cost saving measure or more popular?).

Hopefully Warner Archive will stay true to their promise and release more Scooby Blu-Rays in the future!

Finally, a new DVD! Although three of these films have already been released on the Best of Warner Bros: 10 Scooby-Doo Movies Collection, it's great that Warner is finally releasing new DVDs! Let's hope this is the first of a new wave of releases. I'd love to see Warner Bros release a DVD with the first five films in the franchise, since Goes Hollywood, Boo Brothers, and Arabian Nights hardly appear on compilations. Otherwise, a DVD of Hanna-Barbera Superstars 10 would be nice too. Warner Bros has already released it on Blu-ray, but the DVD version is still pending.

I hope this means we're getting more DTVs too! I would have preferred for WB to approach these compilations as chronological rather than just random movies, but regardless I'm still happy that we're getting another DVD release after so long. Getting a Superstars 10 DVD release would also be great. Personally, I won't be getting any of them since I already own all the movies individually, but it's great to have these releases for new fans and/or those who want a cheaper way to own these films.

another thing why are they so desperately trying to sell RTZI??? 90% of the fans don't like it so like why not include something else people love like Zombie Island or Camp Scare?

I'm completely on the same page as you. Honestly, I'd be okay with even a compilation set that had just one or two new episodes. I really miss the days of the 2010s sets, where they did frequently throw in an unreleased episode and it was always fun to see which one(s) it would be. I'm sure this didn't cost too much for WB to make, since it's putting already released movies together on one compilations, but I hope they'll be open to releasing more season or compilation sets at some point.

i wish this set would at least have Wednesday Is Missing as a bonus feature just to give people a reason to get this set 8/21/2025 09:48:13 am
That would be cool. I'd honestly love it even more if "Wednesday Is Missing" got its own standalone set! They could treat it like a movie and tack on a few bonus episodes (perhaps even unreleased ones). I'm a little unclear on if they just negotiated for the streaming rights or if they have the physical media rights too, but I would imagine they would have both. I hope something like that is released in the future!

Cool to see they haven't forgotten that some of the recent films exist. Especially Krypto Too which felt released almost out of obligation. Had it not leaked, perhaps it might not have seen the light the day. Unfortunate that Return to Zombie Island is on the set though lol. Happy Halloween would've felt more appropriate.

I also could have easily seen WB sweeping Krypto Too under the rug if not for the leak. Yeah, Happy Halloween or Trick or Treat would have definitely been a better fit.

Although this is not a great set for me (I hate rtzi and the courage movie and I find the other two just okay) I’m glad they’re doing something this year in terms of physical media!

I won't be getting this one either (I already own them individually, and also share in all of your opinions other than disliking Straight Outta Nowhere), but I'm also really glad to see they're still open to releasing physical media! Really hopeful that this means they'll announce other sets in the coming months.

I wish they would release all the episodes of the different TV series and any specials that haven't been put out yet and any new shows and movies that come out in the future

I've been really wanting them to do this too! I think it will be hard during this time, since WB is cutting back so much on what they release, but I hope once they're more financially stable, that they make putting out the unreleased episodes a priority again.
