WB has done lots for this franchise already besides the warner bros discovery merger has affected everything . I think we should all consider ourselves fortunate that the Scooby-Doo franchise has lasted this long anyway many other franchises have been far less lucky sadly. Now then so far we have had thirteen animated shows of Scooby, four Animated television films, thirty-six DTV, five Live-action movies, six Television specials, six Direct-to-video specials, eight Television shorts, ten Crossover episodes, thirty sex Web shorts.

No worries! I would also like to see them rely less on celebrities, even if that means making less DTVs. I don't mind occasional crossovers, but the fact that nearly every DTV lately has been a crossover has been a bit over the top in my opinion. I wouldn't mind if WB took a break from the DTVS, or released them less frequently, to come up with more original ideas. I've really enjoyed Jellystone! so far as well and I'm excited we're getting more episodes of that. I'm also very grateful that the franchise has lasted as long as it has, and hope it continues to last.

I've got to be honest I don't really care if the scooby doo movies are crossovers or not as long as their good don't get me wrong i like more standalone stuff too even if we did get the sword and the scoob I it had thundarr in it but I still feel like it's more of a traditional scooby doo film but i'm not going to act like I don't enjoy the crossovers yeah they are doing them alot but honestly I don't really care I just enjoy them I know I'm the only one on the planet that thinks this but thats just how I feel. 4/15/2022 10:21:10 am
That's fair! I do enjoy some of the crossovers, like I loved Happy Halloween and Courage, but I feel like if they continued to do them, it'd get a bit stale after a while. I'm glad you enjoy the crossovers though and your opinion totally makes sense! :)

The reason who I would like to see more standalone Scooby-Doo movies instead of guest celebrities, is because I feel the celebrities approach, is getting rather worn out and even dull. I miss the days when they made standalone movies many of the standalone Scooby-Doo movies are considered to be gems among fans I don't think the same can be said about the celebrities movies however I think WB relies too much with the celebrities approach and that they have gotten rather lazy instead of coming up with new/orginal ideas at least that's how it feels to me when it comes to the DTV movies that is.I also feel that that some of those past guest celebrities movies were rather weak in reality I for one found the Gourmet Ghost movie to be a rather dull and forgettable Scooby movie the same goes for WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon movie.

I agree with you and also worry about it getting stale if they did crossovers so often. I liked Gourmet Ghost, but Curse of the Speed Demon was a bit weak for me (especially compared to the first WWE crossover).

considering the warner brothers discovery merger maybe we might see less crossovers 4/18/2022 01:08:08 pm
That's a good point! It will be interesting to see whether the merger affects the amount of crossovers we get.

I think the warner brothers discovery merge might affect more then the crossovers, the thing to bear in mind is that discovery now owns WB so now they decide what happens the only reason why they are keeping the warner name is for recognise reasons.

I hadn't thought about the merger cancelling the Velma series. I'll admit I'd be a little surprised if it was, since they've started production on it, but I suppose it's a possibility.

Honestly I could see that as a possibility considering how much backlash it is getting.
