It looks ok to me. I think it could have been better. And some of the zombies look ok while others look silly. But I'll give it a chance

Agreed. The one zombie at 0:59 in the trailer was 100% one of the ones in the original film, which is cool. But the atmosphere of the trailer does not feel even close to the original, which is disappointing. I'll also give it a chance for sure.

I’m guessing that’s a flashback 7/14/2019 08:52:13 am
Oh, it could be I guess but I hope not. That would be a bit disappointing.

A few of the jokes made me laugh, and there seems to be some references, I have trouble with them not reaching out to the original creators of Zombie Island to keep the tone together, but eh, I'll have seen worse Scooby Movies...

Exactly my thoughts. I'm glad there are at least a few references. It bugged me how Velma called it "Zombie Island," when it was called Moonscar Island. No one ever called it Zombie Island in the original film, that was just the title.

I think the guy with simone's necklace has killed more people that's why there's more zombies and at 1:17 you can see cat creatures behind the mystery machine

Dare I say it actually doesn't look half bad. It definitely seems intriguing, are the zombies real? What has become of zombie island? I will agree it seems to lack the intensity and scare factor of the original but it certainly could have been worse. Let's just hope we don't get the same cop out style ending as 13th ghost.

It doesn't look bad if you don't hold it to the standards of the original. It better not have the same ending as 13th Ghost.

I'm also surprised about how they chose to make the trailer. It seemed like they were trying to make it seem like the original, but it was nothing like it whatsoever. It's interesting to me how WB is so focused on making these "sequels" yet they don't care about getting the tone even slightly consistent with the original.

They care only about making money. They don’t think that making a quality product will increase revenue and I’d agree with them. But what if they made multiple quality films? I have a feeling that if they did that their viewership would increase and perhaps bring these scooby doo films back to their former glory. I’m probably dreaming sadly. 7/21/2019 11:28:12 am
Sad but probably true. I've been saying they should go back to the quality of the Zombie Island era films for years now, as I'm sure viewership would significantly increase, but oh well. Hopefully someday. Leave a Reply. |
