This morning, I happen to stumble upon these old storyboards and model sheets that were used by the writers of the New Scooby-Doo Movies.
These first ones were rough drafts of the gang in the first episode, "Ghastly Ghost Town."
This is a background picture used in "Ghastly Ghost Town." Apparently, all other background pictures were scrapped and not saved, this is the only one remaining!
These next ones are my favorites, this is actually the storyboard outline that was used during the production of "Ghastly Ghost Town!"
This is the storyboard for episode 2. The storyboard reveals that "The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair" is actually the wrong title, the correct title is "The Dynamic Scooby Duo Affair."
This is a production storyboard for "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner."
Also, note that if you look closely at the storyboard, you can view the production codes for the episodes. Ghastly Ghost Town is 61-1, Guess Who's Knott is 61-2 and Dynamic is 61-4. This actually shows that Guess Who's Knott should be episode 2, and Dynamic should have been episode 4 (presumably the network aired them out of order).
These are more model sheets from "Ghastly Ghost Town" which shows the original rough draft drawings of the Three Stooges. The drawing is dated June 16, 1972.
Next is the original drawing of Joker and Penguin from "The Dynamic Scooby Duo Affair".
This is the last bunch of model sheets from "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner". These are my favorites, I think these are especially cool. Have a look:
This was apparently the Ghost of Captain Moody before he was airbrushed as we see in the episode today.
Where are Shaggy's eyes and mouth?
Well, that's the end of the pictures. This was really cool to find and go through!
