 Earlier this year, Mindy Cohn told us she would not be returning to voice Velma in the DTV movie "Scooby-Doo and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon," despite she had said in a tweet last year that she would be voicing Velma for all DTV movies and video games. This left fans wondering if Mindy had really given up the role of Velma to Kate Micucci, who is the voice of Velma on Be Cool Scooby-Doo. Mindy finally broke the silence recently and confirmed on Instagram that she would indeed be voicing Velma once again in an upcoming Scooby-Doo project. It is unknown which project she is referring to, but many fans are speculating that it may be the upcoming Scooby-Doo! Wild West film that is to be released sometime in 2017.

YES YES YES! Sorry this cheered me up. Good for Kate for getting role in be cool Scooby-Doo, but I got bummed when didn't hear Mindy in the Speed Demon movie. I really hope Mindy will be always voicing Velma still. I can't hear any other voice but hers.

Hi Habib, welcome to the site! I agree, I'm happy Kate is in Be Cool but IMO Mindy should have got the Speed Demon role. She did confirm on Twitter that she is returning as Velma at some point. Unfortunately, she has not said when or if it will be just temporarily.

I am so relieved to hear this! It just isn't Scooby Doo without Mindy Cohn doing the voice of Velma. I just couldn't get into Scooby Doo The Curse of the Speed Demon when I realized Mindy Cohn wasn't the voice of Velma and I really wanted to. 10/31/2016 10:22:06 am
I'm really happy that Mindy is returning as well. I agree that Velma wasn't the same in Curse of the Speed Demon without Mindy's voice. I hope that whenever Mindy does return that she will be in all DTVs and specials.

I am sorry i dont like the new girl doing velma. She really doesnt sound like velma and her speaking is very brass. Velmas more soft spoken. Scooby n the gang are my all time fav. Have every movie and series of scooby. I was two when he was born. Please bring back mindy

I bought the new scooby doo movie that came out 2/17 the wild west. Loved the movie other than the new velma her voice made it difficult to watch. Sorry scooby
