UPDATE: According to Tim Szabo's website, he was one of the background painters working on this film. While his page just lists the film as "Scooby-Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog," what's interesting is that it shows the film has been in production all the way back since around August 2018. Background painting for this film (and another film, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge), concluded in February 2021. Thanks to Ben for sending me this!
According to several release sites in Norway and Finland, the Scooby-Doo and Courage the Cowardly Dog that was announced will be titled "Scooby-Doo! Straight Outta Nowhere" and will be released on September 13, 2021 in those countries. CDOn.no, Platekompaniet.no, and Hinta.fi all list this. I'm not sure of the legitimacy of these sites, but given multiple are listing it, it's possible this is the actual title of the movie. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see!

@Jayden the title actually fits haha because “Nowhere” is the name of the town Courage lives in that’s known for strange happenings.

I'm a little iffy on the title too. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if they change it!

Somehow I doubt the the legitimacy of those sites, the title feels fake to me. For all we know this is fake, since we don't have a trailer or a offical announcement from WB. Besides as pointed out it is rather unlickely for us to get three DTV Scooby-Doo movies during one year.

Seems a little weird to me too. I just wanted to post it so people were aware of it, but I'm skeptical of it too. I'd take it with a grain of salt.

Whether this is fake or not, the title sounds kinda cool lol. But movie titles usually have the name of the characters they crossover with. I'm ready to hear more news on this and Krypto.

Could just be a placeholder title, "Straight outta nowhere" is both a reference to Courage, and an album, so might also be real, but to me feels like it needs an improved title.

Yeah, the title is a little weird and I don't love it. I suppose it could be a placeholder, but I'd be surprised if they used a placeholder title when they were already announcing the DVD for release...but idk. I guess we don't even know for sure it's real.

It’s just a title but people are judging it??? What ever happened to “don’t judge a book by its cover”?

For me, I just was commenting that it was a little odd to riff the title off of "Straight Outta Compton," if this even is the title. I'm not judging the film at all and am very excited for it.

I'd be alright with the title "Straight Outta Nowhere" if its official. I always figured that if there was gonna be a crossover movie of Scooby and Courage, it'd be called "Scooby-Doo! and the Courageous Mystery", and the "Courageous Mystery" part would be written in Courage-style letters. That way both of the dogs' names would be in the title of the movie,

Thanks. It's definitely more creative than "Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog". Leave a Reply. |
