I usually wouldn't cover this type of news and I'm sure most other Scooby sites won't cover this, but since Hayley was in the third and fourth live action movies as Velma, I thought this was worth sharing. Hayley has released a new single entitled "Girls Like Girls" from her recent EP, This Side of Paradise, which appears to be an overnight sensation. "Girls Like Girls" has already reached 1 million views on YouTube in only a few weeks of being online, and the song has already climbed to #135 on the iTunes pop charts (and it's numbers are increasing every day). I actually had no knowledge of the song until I began following Hayley on Twitter a few weeks ago, and I saw her tweet about the new video. I thought I'd give it a shot and I found the video on YouTube. I was very pleasantly surprised, the song was great and I thought it had an amazing message behind it. The song is about a lesbian couple, and the message behind the video/song is "love who you want to love, you don't have to care about what others think." Only a few days after the video was released, coincidentally, same-sex marriage was legalized throughout the U.S.. I could easily see the song being a top ten hit if things continue as they are. I wish Hayley the best of luck with her song and new music career! You can listen to the song here: Music Video Audio Only
