Fun Fact of the Week #73

Davy Jones is the only guest star to have his name spelled incorrectly on the episode title card (the card reads "Davey Jones" when it should say Davy Jones).

Bonus: Davy was also the only person involved with Scooby, not just in this series, but in the entire Scooby-Doo franchise to pass away during a "leap day (February 29)." (Today marks the first February 29th since his passing in 2012, which is why I also why I chose this fact for today).

Not true. Don Knotts, Don Adams, Jonathan Winters, Phyllis Diller, Sandy Duncan, Dick Van Dyke, Sonny & Cher, Tim Conway, Mama Cass Elliot, and Jerry Reed all voiced the animated versions of themselves as well.

That's one thing I've always thought was cool about the show. The series wouldn't have been the same if they hadn't.

Other than that, nice fun fact. I didn't know his name was misspelled or that he died on the last leap day. (Perhaps I forgot.)

Just checked Behind the Voice Actors again and you are completely right...that'll teach me to write fun facts on a few hours of sleep lol.

Thanks for pointing that out though, I will fix it now. :)

Do you plan ahead when you do your fun facts? I started doing my own on Friday mornings but I never know what I'll post until late Thursday night. Terrible procrastination problem. lol

My goal is to plan at least a week ahead for what my next fun fact will be, but half the time I just end up writing them the night before. There have even been a few times (this fun fact included) where I procrastinate so much that I end up writing them as I post them. Lol
