In "Jeepers, It's the Jaguaro!", there is a scene in which Scooby runs into two gorillas. However, in real life, there are actually no gorillas or apes anywhere in the Amazon Rainforest. Gorillas and apes more commonly live in the continents of Asia and Africa (with the exception of being imported here for zoos).

This episode is historic, geographic and culturally a big mess lol... but you know, different times, not a lot of info easily available. But Ghastly Goals has no excuse being so insensitive towards Brazil in some aspects. (I'm brazilian btw)

Yeah, I absolutely agree. It's one of my least favorite Scooby episodes of all time tbh, especially for the representation of indigenous people.

I've got an idea for an article: what types of monsters would you want to see in Scooby-Doo the most that have either never or very rarely properly appeared? They can be more broad and general types of monsters, or more specific and mythologically based monsters.

I'm 100% sold on a Wendigo! Now that's one with a lot of untapped potential. Wendigos can be terrifying, best example being the Until Dawn game. 9/13/2022 11:48:14 am
Yeah, the Mothman would have worked really well with SDMI! Definitely a missed opportunity there.

I never took the time to look into that, but I always thought that seemed like it was incorrect. What a mess of an episode

I think I mentioned it already in a different comment, but I'm in the process of writing an article of my least favorite episodes/movies of the franchise. I hadn't really thought about it before, but it seemed odd there were apes in the jungle so I looked it up, and sure enough they got that piece wrong too lol.

What surprises me the most is that they're doing a Supernatural prequel series. Didn't know that, strange idea.
