Scooby-Doo, Where Are You: The Complete Series currently holds the record for the Scooby DVD and Blu-Ray release that has been re-released the most. The same set has currently been re-released five different times. It was first released on November 13, 2010 in the shape of a Mystery Machine, then was repackaged on November 13, 2012 with new box art. On February 13, 2018, it was released in a more traditional DVD format (as opposed to being in the collector's edition Mystery Machine). For the 50th anniversary, it was re-released in a collector's edition haunted house box set on September 3, 2019 on blu-ray with four new special features. I suppose this doubles as a news post, but it will now be re-released on Blu-Ray again on March 1, 2022 with more traditional box art. The special features will be the same as the 50th anniversary release in 2019. You can now pre-order the new Blu-Ray on Amazon.

Though, not gonna lie, I did like that spooky house aesthetic, I just... I don't need it on blu ray. 1/5/2022 03:50:37 pm
I like it too, I just find it goofy that they are re-releasing the exact same set five different times, not to mention all the other sets all of these Where Are You episodes have been released on. Many of them have been released 15-20 times at this point, which seems excessive. I would prefer they focus on releasing the episodes that aren't available on DVD at all right now, like the Scrappy episodes, Be Cool season 2, Guess Who, etc. or at least have a balance between re-releasing old stuff and putting out at least a few unreleased episodes each year. They've been slacking on that for the past few years IMO.

I feel ashamed to say this. But I've never owned the series on DVD apart from movies, even though I grew up on Scooby-Doo. But ever since things moved to digital and streaming services, I have access to the series. But I really need to get the DVDs, just in case.

Aww I wouldn't feel ashamed. There's no prerequisites to being a Scooby fan, and you owning a certain number of DVDs doesn't make your enjoyment of the franchise any more or less valid. :)
