"Space Station Scooby" from Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? is filled with references and allusions to various space-related films and television series. These include:
Star Trek: - The NX-NYE is a reference to the NX-01 Enterprise on Star Trek: Enterprise. The tardigrade's design looks quite similar to the tardigrade from another Star Trek show, Star Trek: Discovery. Alien: - At one point, Scooby believes something is crawling in his chest. This is a thinly-veiled reference to Chestbursters. - There are two allusions in the episode that mirror specific scenes from Alien. The first time Shaggy and Scooby run into the tardigrade is an allusion to the scene where Ellen Ripley first meets the alien from that film. The tardigrade monster also falls out of the airlock in a similar fashion to how the alien does in the film. - Neil deGrasse Tyson's quote "In space, not only can no one hear you scream, but they can't hear you explode, either" is an extension and direct reference to the tagline of that film ("In space, no one can hear you scream"). Star Wars: - The drone's design has a number of similarities to Luke Skywalker's training drone from Episode IV: A New Hope. - Fred paraphrases two very famous lines from the Star Wars franchise: "We're going to have company" and "I've got a bad feeling about this." - Bill Nye's remark to Velma, "Nice work, I owe you one," seems to be an allusion to a conversation between Hans Solo and Luke Skywalker. Thanks to James Dixon for researching all these allusions and inspiring this week's fun fact!

I think the one I was surprised most about was the tardigrade.

Me too! I was surprised about the tardigrade one as well. It definitely made for a unique villain that they had never used before, though!
