Scooby-Doo is the first animated show that Don Knotts ever provided a voice for. Don wouldn't go on to do any more voice acting work until 1987's The Little Troll Prince, where he played an evil professor who taught his students to "cause disorder and inflict pain." Don also only voiced himself in one other animated work, in the 2004 Johnny Bravo episode "Johnny Makeover."

Don Knotts also voiced himself in the Robot Chicken segment "A Scooby Friday" in 2005

I just watched it, and I agree with Don's reaction: "After this, I'm the one who's gonna need therapy!" lol. That was my first time watching Robot Chicken and that was so screwed up in so many ways haha.

Surprised you haven't seen it before, but yeah that's Robot Chicken for you, the craziest and darkest humor possible. 7/19/2021 05:19:54 pm
Yeah, that ending was...something else lol. Especially given how Scooby was shown, and like what was going on in the meantime.

I did Knott know that. Nice to know that about Mr. Knotts

I feel like I need to watch The Little Troll Prince now because Don Knotts having a role in which he teaches people to "cause disorder and inflict pain" sounds quite amusing. Haha

This is really inspiring me to rewatch the Don Knotts episodes from the New Scooby Movies. Get some popcorn and snacks and have a “Knott-A-Thon” :D

Wildwind or Knottsind you should do a post about all the Don Knotts lookalikes throughout the whole franchise.

There’s Mr. Claphammer, The Sherrif from Music of the Vampire and there’s one in The Brave and The Bold Movie. There’s also one in Mystery Incorporated. 7/22/2021 10:20:58 am
It's been a while since I've seen The Brave and the Bold, but I didn't remember there being a Don Knotts lookalike in that film! Thank you so much for listing those all for me! :) I kinda wish that I would have made that the fun fact for this week, but oh well. Don appeared so little in the franchise it was a little hard to think of ideas of posts to make, so I'm grateful to have another post idea! :) I'll make the post about those sometime this week.

I saw them last week on ScoobyAddicts as well. I keep meaning to make a post about it and forgetting, but thank you for letting me know/reminding me. I'll make a post about it on Sunday after Don Knotts Week is over haha.
