The original airing of "The Man in the Mirror" on Cartoon Network had approximately the first two minutes of the episode cut. In CN's airing of the episode, the beginning of the episode showed Fred already in the mirror world, confusing viewers as they had not seen where Fred was pulled inside the mirror world. It is unknown why the footage was cut. One day later, the full episode (including the omitted two minutes) was released online.

I'm just going to assume that it was cut to make room for commercial time because I can't think of another reason as to why they would do that

I guess? I'm not sure. No other episode had such a major chunk cut out like that, and this wasn't any longer than any other episode.

Wow that would be really annoying actually if I had seen it live instead of on dvd. Guess those Teen Titans go commercials are super important though to cn

I saw it live, and I remember how super confused I was as to how Fred got in the mirror world, because the episode just started with him already there.

Yeah that is a pretty important scene to cut out

This was one of my favorite episodes. The idea of using an old movie studio to create an apocalyptic version of Crystal Cove was a clever and crazy plan. And Brad and Judy getting facial surgery to look like Fred and an old Daphne was some serious dedication!

This was one of my favorite SDMI episodes too! It was a super bizarre, ingenious plan. SDMI did a great job keeping the audience on its toes with crazy twists, though I'm not sure anything can top the gang's reveal to the original Mystery Incorporated at the end of "Wrath of the Krampus"!

I remember people talking about this situation online. Must have been really frustrating. I also remember that CN cut a few seconds from "Night Terrors", particularly the scene where in Scooby's dream when he was whimpering in the hallway.

Oh, I forgot about that! I'm pretty sure we had to wait until the DVD release to see that scene.

Hey guys I just discovered two title episodes on Scoobypedia. Returning of The Key Ring guest staring Sean Astin and The Tao of Scoob guest staring Lucy Liu. I guess will be getting these episodes sooner than we thought.

Could you link to the Sean Astin one? I found the Lucy Liu one, but on a Scooby-Doo and Guess Who Wikia page and not on Scoobypedia. I couldn't find the Sean Astin one you're talking about.

You're right! Thank you. I was thinking it would be on the main episode guide page for the series, and that's why I couldn't find it. I'll make a post on it in the next few hours. :) Leave a Reply. |
