 Arabian Nights was never referred to as an exclusively Scooby-Doo production until the VHS release on August 24, 1999. Before this, it was simply referred to as "Arabian Nights," but was changed to "Scooby-Doo in: Arabian Nights" to boost sales in 1999.

I don't even class this as a Scooby film and haven't watched it since I was severely disappointed as a kid. It's awful and doesn't deserve to have Scooby's name on it. 7/29/2019 12:15:49 pm
It is indeed a very bad film, but I don't think it was ever supposed to have Scooby's name on it. The WB salespeople just got greedy and thought that adding "Scooby-Doo" to the title would make it more marketable, which was sad. An HB crossover would certainly be more accurate, even though the movie still isn't great.
