This week, we move on from Australia to South America! Last week, I mentioned that all countries with two episodes or less on a continent would be grouped together into their own poll. Technically, the gang visits Brazil three times, with the third time being for just one event in "South America and Transylvania." The other event in South America takes place in Argentina. South America is a bit of an odd case in the sense that Brazil and Argentina are the only two countries the gang has visited, plus a couple landmarks that are not in countries (those being the Amazon River and Andes Mountains). I didn't think it made sense to have "South America and Transylvania" appear in a Brazil poll, then have it appear again the very next week to represent Argentina to face off against the two non-country landmarks. Given the limited amount of options here, I decided to make the South America episodes all one poll.
Since we've already gone through two continents now, we'll be taking a short break from this poll series for a couple of weeks. Next week, we'll do a poll that someone suggested that's been saved in the drafts for quite a while now, and without spoiling the theme itself, we'll do a food-related poll for Thanksgiving the following week. As expected, Legend of the Vampire scores the win for Australia/Oceania by a huge margin. It's officially our first option to move ahead to the final round to represent its continent! What is your favorite episode in Australia/Oceania? Legend of the Vampire - 52 Reef Grief - 6 Scooby Roo - 5 France and Australia - 0 French Riviera and New Zealand - 0

Starting with The Scooby-Doo Show, one of the consistent elements of the franchise became that the gang started solving mysteries in other countries outside the United States. The gang has visited so many countries over the course of the 600+ episodes and films in the franchise. I'm excited to announce that we're starting another poll series themed around the gang's globetrotting adventures!
We'll be doing a poll to represent each country, featuring all of the episodes in which the gang solved a mystery in that country as options. Once we've done all the countries in a continent, we'll have a Winner's Circle round, which will match up each winning option from every country to determine the best episode from that continent. After we've done all of the countries and the continent rounds, we'll have one final poll featuring the winner from each continent. Should there be a tie, all winning options move onto the next round. We will do all the countries from one continent at a time before moving on to the next continent. Australia/Oceania and Antarctica don't have enough episodes to do country rounds, so we will just go straight to the continent rounds for those. There are a few countries from South America, Europe, Africa and Asia that the gang has only visited once or twice. All of the countries the gang has visited twice feature a Laff-a-Lympics episode facing off against an episode that is much more acclaimed by the fandom. Since a Laff-a-Lympics episode has never won a poll in the 250+ that we've done (except the "what is your favorite Laff-a-Lympics episode?" poll), I think it makes most sense to have a round that has all of the episodes combined into one poll, so there are more options to choose from. Also, on that note, most Laff-a-Lympics episodes involve the contestants visiting two countries. Even if a Laff-a-Lympics episode is eliminated in one country's round, it will still be included in the polls for both countries that are featured in the episode. You may remember that earlier this year, we already did polls for three countries, including Mexico, Ireland and Scotland. The winners from those polls will be included in this series and advance to the Winner's Circle round for their continents. While most polls will be a part of this poll series, we'll take short breaks (probably once we finish with a continent) to do normal polls, or do things like holiday-themed polls to align with holidays (for example, I have an idea for a poll to post at the end of December for the holidays). This will be by far the biggest poll series we've done on here, but I'm really excited to do this! We had a landslide winner for last week's poll! Here are the results: Which of the eight monsters from "Mysteries on the Disorient Express" from Be Cool, Scooby-Doo is your favorite? Grim Reaper - 22 Haniver - 7 Tarasque - 6 Manticore - 5 Tengu - 5 Tzitzimitl - 5 Mummy - 4 Hemogoblin - 2 I wanted to do a special poll this week for Halloween, so we are going to switch it up this week and do a poll where you vote on your favorite monster, as suggested by Mr Neither! As a helpful guide, since it may be easy to get a few of the names mixed up, here are images of each of the monsters with their name. We have a surprising winner for last week's poll! "Chiller Diller Movie Thriller" and "Where's Scooby-Doo?" seemed to be the most popular options based on the comment section, but neither of them ended up winning! Here are the results for the poll last week:
What is your favorite Scooby-Doo mystery on a train? Mysteries on the Disorient Express - 29 Chiller Diller Movie Thriller - 20 Where's Scooby-Doo? - 15 For this poll, I only included the three mysteries that take place fully on a train, and didn't include stuff like "The Wild Brood" or Stage Fright where a train appears in one scene.
Our top 4 for last week's poll remained decently close, but our winner maintained a lead of a few votes throughout the week. Here are the results for last week's poll: What is your favorite episode taking place at a space station, or in space? In Space - 17 Moon Monster Madness - 12 Space Ape at the Cape - 11 Space Station Scooby - 9 A Close Encounter with a Strange Kind - 3 Lightning Strikes Twice - 3 Mecha Mutt Menace - 2 Scooby Saves the World - 1 Dawn of the Spooky Shuttle Scare - 1 The results for last week were pretty spread out, although one episode pulled off the win easily and got double the votes of the rest. I'm really impressed to see "Night of the Living Toys" was able to pull off third place! That episode is really underrated imo, so it's cool to see get so many votes.
What is your favorite episode in a store? Toy Scary Boo - 14 Haunted Holidays - 8 Night of the Living Toys - 7 Block Long Hong Kong Terror - 6 Returning of the Key Ring! - 6 Lights...Camera...Monster - 4 A Fashion Nightmare! - 3 A Code in the Nose - 2 What a Night, for a Dark Knight! - 2 Peebles' Pet Shop of Terrible Terrors! - 1 It was a pretty close race for last week's poll, but one option maintained a lead by just a few votes! Here are the results for the poll from last week:
What is your favorite episode in a celebrity's home? The Exterminator - 14 Wednesday Is Missing - 11 Now You Sia, Now You Don't! - 9 The Haunted Horseman of Hagglethorn Hall - 7 A Good Medium Is Rare - 4 Falling Star Man! - 3 Hollywood Knights! - 2 Scooby's Peep Hole Pandemonium - 1 Olly Olly In-come Free! - 0 I kept the question broad to mean both real-life and fictional celebrities, such as The Addams Family and Norma Deathman, who are said to be celebrities in the Scooby-Doo universe from their respective episodes.
Here are the results from last week's poll: What is your favorite episode taking place in San Francisco? The San Franpsycho - 35 Mystery Mask Mix-Up - 13 I Left My Neck in San Francisco - 5 Surprised Spies - 2 Protein Titans 2 - 2 The Chinese Food Factory - 1 Africa and San Francisco - 0 Here are the results for last week's poll:
What is your favorite episode featuring a knight as the villain? What a Night for a Knight - 25 Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed - 12 Scooby-Doo! The Sword and the Scoob - 11 Scared a Lot in Camelot - 8 The Haunted Horseman of Hagglethorn Hall - 4 Hollywood Knights! - 3 Sir Scooby and the Black Knight - 2 LEGO Scooby-Doo: Knight Time Terror - 1 We've reached the end of the daily polls, and will resume the weekly polls again tomorrow. I've had a lot of fun doing these daily polls the past 13 days, and thanks so much to everybody who participated in them! There's still a little bit of anniversary-related fun coming up with the remaining fan spotlights, but for now, here are the results for yesterday's poll:
Which of these four options that have won the most weekly polls is your favorite? Witch's Ghost - 23 A Night of Fright Is No Delight - 10 Happy Birthday, Scooby-Doo! - 7 The Loch Ness Mess - 5 |
