A few weeks ago, Daphne Blake's voice actress Grey Griffin posted a video on her Twitter account, which has Scooby fans wondering if Bill Nye, The Science Guy will guest star in the upcoming series, which is rumored to be titled "Scooby-Doo! Guess Who?" The video features Griffin swing dancing with Nye, though what's interesting about this is that both Frank Welker and Kate Micucci, who voice Fred Jones and Velma Dinkley respectively, also appear in the video together. Currently, the only shared project which Grey, Frank and Kate work on is "Scooby-Doo."
For those who aren't aware, Bill Nye was the star of the hit children's science television show entitled "Bill Nye, the Science Guy," which aired from 1993-1998. The series ran for five seasons, and achieved critical acclaim, winning 19 Emmy Awards. The show was best known for its witty take on science, and of course, its catchy theme song. The series theme, if you haven't heard it, can be listened to here. Please note that I am not responsible for the annoyingly catchy song becoming stuck in your head for the rest of the day. :D Additionally, Matthew Lillard posted something on Instagram back in July 2017 about Kevin Conroy guest-starring as Batman in an episode of the upcoming series. Some fans have speculated because of this, that the new series will be a reboot of The New Scooby-Doo Movies, which featured famous guest stars such as Don Knotts, The Harlem Globetrotters, Batman and Robin, along with many other famed TV personalities. No details other than Lillard's post have been confirmed, and it is currently unknown whether the video with Bill Nye is related to this new series or not. Stay tuned for more info!
