Here's the back cover to Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?: The Complete Season 1. Notice that Space Station Scooby is listed as episode 14, whereas it aired as episode 26. In addition, "The Fastest Food Fiend!" has an extra "fast" in it.

written by IVAN COHEN art and cover by DARIO BRIZUELA ON SALE 4/13/21 $2.99 US | 32 PAGES | FC | DC It's an all-new, all-ages series that teams the Dark Knight with Scooby-Doo and the sleuths of Mystery Inc.! When Batman discovers his original purple gloves have gone missing, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo travel back in time to Batman's Year One era to solve the case! Will this "Glove Story" have a happy ending? A brand new comic series entitled Batman and Scooby-Doo Mysteries is coming to comic book retailers this April! This will be another brand new series featuring Batman and the Scooby gang solving mysteries together. There will be 12 issues of this monthly comic series. Issue 1 will be released on April 13 in print, and March 27 digitally. The second issue will be published May 11 in print, and April 24 digitally. Here are the descriptions for the first two issues of the series:
In the kick-off story by Ivan Cohen and Dario Brizuela—an adventure when Batman discovers his original purple gloves have gone missing—Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo travel back in time to Batman’s Year One era to solve the case!” reads a company statement. “Will this time-traveling heist have a happy ending? Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #1, “Glove Story,” written by Ivan Cohen with art and cover by Dario Brizuela, begins with the first of two DC Digital First chapters on March 27 followed by a print issue collecting the same story on April 13. “And to continue the Scooby-Doo team-up tradition established in over a hundred chapters of Scooby-Doo Team-Up, in the second big Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries story writer Sholly Fisch and artist Randy Elliott have Scooby-Doo and Batman team up to solve the mystery of a ghost…who’s haunting the Batcave! Even if the ghost turns out to be a fake, that still doesn’t solve the real mystery: How did someone get into the Batcave to stage the phony phantom—and does that mean Batman’s enemies have cracked the secret of his true identity?! Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #2, “Going Bats,” written by Sholly Fisch with art and cover by Randy Elliott, arrives in print on May 11 after digital chapters beginning on April 24.” Thanks to Deandre (aka Scoobyfan4ever) for sharing this info, which he found on the 13th Dimension. Update: Turkey is finished airing new episodes. It's unknown when the last six will air. Original post 1/9/2021 Thanks to the person who posted the original title cards of Scoobypedia, we have more info on some upcoming episodes from a Boomerang Wiki! In addition to the two already announced, the Cher episode will be called "Cher, Scooby, and the Sargasso Sea!" and the Jessica Biel episode will be called "The Lost Mines of Kilimanjaro!" I was able to get screenshots of all the villains from the Cher, Sean Astin, Jessica Biel and the Lucy Liu episodes! Based on the villain for the Cher episode, it will be a homage to the original, as the villains are shark men! Here are descriptions for these episodes: The Tao of Scoob!: At an art exhibit, a sculpture comes to life and the gang and Lucy Liu have to solve the mystery. Returning of the Key Ring!: A plant monster begins haunting a hardware store, and the gang enlists the help of Sean Astin to solve the mystery. Cher, Scooby and the Sargasso Sea!: To celebrate Scooby's birthday, the gang takes him aboard a cruise with Cher, but a mystery arises when several shark men begin haunting the ship. The Lost Mines of Kilimanjaro!: Whilst searching for lost treasure, the gang runs into an ape man. Stay tuned, as there seems to be new titles every day! Monday 1/11: Though there is no new episode today, I was able to get a new title card for "The Lost Mines of Kilimanjaro!" as well as another picture of the Ape Man. Tuesday 1/12: Today's new episode is one of the unannounced guest stars! It's titled "Scooby-Doo and the Sky Town Cool School!" (weird name) featuring Billy Dee Williams, and the villain is the pterodactyl from the trailer.
Here's the episode description: The gang attends a school run by Billy Dee Williams that teaches people how to be cool, which is plagued by a pterodactyl. The trailer for Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King said the film would be released September 16, 2008, but for an unexplained reason, it was pushed back a week to September 23, 2008. The same thing happened with Scooby-Doo and the Samurai Sword, but this time, through an Amazon listing that was switched from March 31, 2009 to April 7, 2009 at the last minute.
As a fun personal note, I remember when I was younger being super upset about it when I went to the store on September 16 and the Goblin King DVD wasn't there lol. Thanks to Samuel Kirkwood for suggesting this poll question!
Here are the results from last week's poll. I'm shocked with both how close this poll was, and by the winner! Which of the main voice actors from SCOOB! (not including Frank Welker) did the best job? Will Forte - 26 Amanda Seyfried - 25 Zac Efron - 18 Gina Rodriguez - 9 CMON has created a kickstarter new Scooby-Doo board game, which will already be launching January 13 at 3pm ET according to ComicBook.com. Here's the description of the game from the CMON site:
Ruh-roh, Shaggy! There’s a monster on the loose and it’s scaring everyone out of town! It’s up to the Mystery Inc. Gang to stop them! Designed by Fred Perret and Guilherme Goulart (from Arcadia Quest), and with original art by Hannah Cardoso (from Foodies and Munchkin Dungeon), Scooby-Doo: The Board Game is a cooperative family game for 1-5 players that brings the beloved cartoon series to life with amazing miniatures of the whole Mystery Inc. Gang. Players take on the role of Scooby-Doo, Fred, Velma, Daphne or Shaggy, and ride the Mystery Machine around town, building traps to catch the villains before they frighten all the citizens away. But just like in our favorite episodes, even the best plans can go awry as the monster, which is controlled by the game itself, may make a move the players never expected! Each member of Mystery, Inc. has their own unique, special ability to help them during the game. And they’ll need all the help they can get, because the villains all operate differently as well! The gang can only succeed if they coordinate together as a group. Scooby-Doo: The Board Game is family friendly and easy to learn, with three levels of difficulty (easy/medium/hard), and special rules for playing both as a 2-player or solo game as well. On working on such a beloved cartoon series, Guilherme said, “Everyone knows of Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. Gang. The show has been on TV uninterrupted since 1969! They’re cultural icons across multiple countries and it’s been great to bring them to tabletops.” In other Scooby news today which didn't really warrant its own post, Curse of the 13th Ghost and Return to Zombie Island were oddly removed from the Boomerang streaming service yesterday. This only adds to the several Scooby movies that many people were already waiting to be added to the Boomerang service and app. The news of two new Guess Who title cards for the last 11 episodes broke yesterday, but thanks to Weber on the ScoobyAddicts forum, we also have a trailer from Turkey (though it's in Turkish)! It all goes by pretty fast, so I wanted to take a moment and specifically point out all the new villains we see in the trailer. I'm thinking, based on the picture Tracy Mark Lee posted on Instagram, that the bug monster (which also happens to appear in the opening song for "The High School Wolfman's Musical Lament!") will be the monster in the football episode. I can't really tell who the first three of these people are, but the fourth is Sean Astin. And I think this is Cher! Looks like they're on a boat, so I'm betting it'll be something similar to "The Secret of Shark Island".
Some unfortunate news I wanted to point out for fans of the Daphne & Velma book. It was originally announced for release on February 2, 2021. While Amazon still lists this date, Target has switched the release date on their site to June 1, 2021. Given the cover and title have not been released yet, I think the possibility that book 3 will be pushed back is growingly likely, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic still causing production delays for many projects. Stay tuned for any more updates there may be on this!
It's the first Scooby news of 2021! Two new Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? title cards from the remaining 11 episodes have been revealed, due to airing on Boomerang Turkey. The Sean Astin episode will be titled "Returning of the Key Ring!", and the episode featuring Lucy Liu is titled "The Tao of Scoob!" No additional information is known about any of the episodes or their US air dates at this time.
Thanks to ShadowScooby for sharing these title card images that he found on Scoobypedia! |
