Very interesting concept for the first upcoming comic book. I think this is the first time in a while that Scooby and the gang have encountered a goat-like monster since Krampus from Mystery Incorporated and The Demon of Salem from BCSD!

Speaking of which I can see that the first two monster shadows on the cover look a lot like El Chupacabra from Monster of Mexico and one of the Sea Creatures from the BCSD episode All Paws on Deck.

I thought it was an interesting plot too! Yeah, they haven't encountered a goat monster since those instances you mentioned, plus I guess the Piranha-Goat who shows up briefly in "Dead Justice" from Mystery Incorporated.

I agree they both look like the Chupacabra and Sea Creatures! I bet the designs were inspired by those villains.

Indeed but I can't make out who the third monster shadow at the top is. However judging from the cram claw it has, I will assume it is some type of crab like monster.

I can't either. The crab claw looks like the Man-Crab, but the little bit of the rest of its body that we see is different, so I'm not sure!

Have you by any chance ever heard of the legends of (The Goatman of Maryland)?,
(The Pope Lick Monster of Louisville Kentucky)?, Old Alton Bridge aka (Goatman's Bridge) in Texas?, and the (Lake Worth Goatman) also in Texas?

The topic about goat men monsters also gave me an idea for a future Scooby-Doo episode/special.

It is called... (Scooby-Doo! and the Trestle of Terror!)

In this episode/special... While driving through the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky in search of a new mystery, the scooby gang come across the urban legend of a half-human and half-goat creature that is said to live underneath an old yet still active railway trestle bridge crossing over pope lick creek, where according to legend the creature itself uses ether hypnosis or voice mimicry to lure trespassers into walking up on to the trestle only for them to meet their untimely death before an oncoming train.

Thanks, However I should inform you that my idea is based on real-life events that I personally have heard about. One part of The Legend of the Pope Lick Goat-man is actually true. It has been all over the American news.

You see lots of people really have died at the pope lick trestle itself while trying to find out if the legendary goat-man himself is real or not over the past few decades , even in recent years!

Tragic! isn't it?

Oh wow, I didn't realize that it was a real story. That is really sad!

I know, there has been a number of documented deaths and accidents at the bridge over the years ever since it was first constructed back in the early 1800's

According to legend, back in the day the Pope Lick Goatman was said to be a freak show attraction belong to a traveling circus who swore revenge on humanity after a life of mistreatment by his owners and one night he escaped after the circus train that he was on derailed while crossing the pope lick trestle, and to this day he has stayed at the trestle ever since still reeking his horrible vengeance on innocent passers by.

It's true, You can look it up on Wikipedia.

I have heard other stories that claim the monster jumps down from the trestle onto the roofs of cars passing beneath it. Yet other legends tell that it attacks its victims with a blood-stained axe and that the very sight of the creature is so unsettling that those who see it while walking across the high trestle are driven to leap off.
